mitch_de
Hi, early birds can post changes / working or not here. EDIT: Speedstep stopped workink fater that install. Replacing the two IntelCPU.. kext from 10.7.2 fixed that for me and others. You can check that if you compare Geekbench CPU speed with 10.7.2 (or older) - significant less speed (only 1/3 - 1/2 ). For me GB 4600 > 2900 points = much slower. Its normal that GB may have some little (less than 100 points) diff between runs / between OS X subversions updates but NOT as much as that huge slow down. "The suggested two AppleIntelCP...kexts from 10.7.2 worked for me, and without secondary effects at moment. Thank you."
Wayang-NT
work fine …. just replace HDA with patched v2.1.3 … Combo update from 11C74 …. *kernel 11.3.0 and Finder 10.7.
mitch_de
Here also same: AppleHDA and then all OK. As every update, OpenGL + OpenCL drivers changed.

Badeendje
ATI updated to 7.16.6, 1 FPS less, still OpenGL 1.2 With the new Oceanwave version I get 5 fps more. http://www.2shared.com/file/cqugrYkK/GFX_D...s_11D16pkg.html Gfx package update for those who don't want to upgrade to a developer preview os version. mitch_de
"With the new Oceanwave version I get 5 fps more." 5 FPS more from around 40 fps maybe by newer driver, 5 FPS from 100++ fps is measure tolerance / not by the update. GFX only update is an good thing, but i would check if there are also the Frameworks OpenGL and OpenCL within the update- only the .kext drivers is OK, but are half way
Badeendje
Only 1 update to frameworks: libCLVMAMDilPlugin.dylib
mitch_de
PROBLEM (overseen at first tests): My speedstepping stopped working! PSstate stays at slowest Pstate (Multi 6) . no changes by cpu load. All CPU benchmarks show much slower results. (OceanWave, OpenCL not, beccause very less cpu bound). Perhaps happens to others as well. Most CPU Info Apps didnt show real MHz (only Max) like Systemprofiler, so you need such an great tool like MSR Dumper . Its for new CPUs (i3,i5,i7) , older ones need to use MSR Dumper legancy . Usage: DONT install the kext! Use sudo -s , then kextload to load the kext. After that you can see the Speedstepping in the console by looking after the Multiplier changes. Info/DL MSR Dumper + MSR Dumper legancy: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...258612&st=0 use Posting 9 for DL MSR legancy if you have non i3/i5/i7 cpu!! I installed AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient.kext AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext from 10.7.2 with KextWizard and speedstep working now again. juanerson
Hi. Native SpeedStep stop working here too!... Stuck in my CPU low P-State (stay 800 MHz showing in Coolbook monitor), even having CPUPLimit = 0x0 in IORegistryExplorer... IMHO it is a very strange situation... maybe a bug? Because is the first time from 10.6.2 (March 2010). Anyway, I will try installing AppleIntelCP...kexts from 10.7.2. Thanks mitch_de. Regards. mitch_de
Yepp, also i was suprised getting speedstep problem (fixed slowest Pstate) after > 2 years of no problems with that. Good tahts very simple to check - Geekbench & Co getting really less results. For me usings that 2 IntelCPU.. kext worked out of that problem - should help others to. juanerson
Hi folks. One Genuine Mac REPORT of the problem HERE (in Spanish, Big Thanks to DeBilbao). What do you think guys... it is a Bug? That's would be a excellent News for us. But are there some other known case(s)?
mitch_de
Yep, that speedstep problem can be an bug if it happens also on some real Mac AND most of us had working speedstep since long time on hackintosh.
tdtran1025
Something has changed regarding IO80211Family.kext. After the combo update, it seems I can't make airport connect to the router despite having rerun the script and fixed the permission. I tried numerous times to no effect. Maybe someone with better experience can shed some light as I ran out of wit. My card always shows up as Airport since it is bcm4329(b/g/n compatible) with all previous installs. mitch_de
Perhaps you can check / compare some dev-IDs in the .plist of that IO8211 plugins t get it working back. My WLAN USB Stick never used that , i must install realtec drivers (with own WLAN Util) and so it was never seen as an airport.

mitch_de
Dont forget to check cpu speed with geekbench and compare it with older results. If speedstep didnt work ypu will get significant slower results.

I did. I even looked inside Plugins folder and saw that bcm4329 is now part of AppleAirport43224.kext, and so I activate that using of modified kext-but to no avail. What a frustration for a simple task. I will marinate further until I come up with something new. Thanks for the reply.
