Taptun
@Taptun,Thanks for all the help my friend. I have all the kexts in the correct places,Genericbrightness and your AppleHDA.kext in S/L/E but only the sound works ,the brightness slider appears but no change occurs with slider movement. .But the problem is that even this works only with Chamaleon v2 rc5 1083 build,if I install a newer build of Chamaleon I lose my graphics(need enabler=yes),no slider, and no sound. My ioreg is attached. Please look into it. Thanks for your time. Which system is ? This DSDT for 10.6.8 or Lyon for 10.6.7 - the other DSDT The difference - there is @Taptun

pablo101
Hi pablo101, Try this DSDT. It's the same one you posted, with a few tweaks. Get Taptun's AppleHDA.Kext from above (Post #705). Remove all other sound kext's from E/E. Install Taptun's AppleHDA'kext S/L/E. Repair disk permissions. Reboot with GraphicsEnabler=No. pablo101New.zip Hi, What are your system specs? Did you have Snow Leopard Working? sorry that DSDT doesn't work, I reboot and it tells me I have a 7mb graphics card

nami
Hi nami, Injected IDT Sound into your DSDT. Remove VoodooHDA and install Taptun's AppleHDA into S/L/E (back up original first). Get VoodooPS2Controller.kext.zip and AppleHDA.kext.zip from above. Sorry can't help with ATI Video...... I got nVidia. Hope this helps nami.dsdt.zip Do i need some kind of enabler ? HDAEnabler ? Sound is not working, it says something like "sound assertion failed" during boot.
dgrx
sorry that DSDT doesn't work, I reboot and it tells me I have a 7mb graphics card Ok, The DSDT injection is in the wrong place. Your system is so close to mine, I thought the same tweak would work for you. Look in IORegistryExplorer with GraphicsEnabler=Yes. Find out where your video card is loading from. It should be under PCIO - GFX1 - (????). You may have to use your original DSDT to get full res video. That is where the DSDT injection needs to be to get full graphics and brightness control. Do i need some kind of enabler ? HDAEnabler ? Sound is not working, it says something like "sound assertion failed" during boot. If you see the "sound assertion", the IDT is being injected.... But it can't find tha AppleHDA .kext. In System Profiler, under Audio (Built In) do you see anything? It sould also be listed under PCI Cards. Did you install Taptun"s AppleHDA.kext in S/L/E? I don't need any kind of an enabler for sound. I'll look over your DSDT again.... maybe I missed something

AgentSlash
Hello. Please help fix my DSDT to work in Lion without GraphicsEnable=Yes, working control screen brightness and working sound via HDMI. I writed an audio section in DSDT and sound work from internal speaker, but I can not make working video card. I tried to do the instructions from Taptun (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=250849&st=700#), but does not work. Maybe there is some necessary corrections that can be applied for better performance MacOs? DSDT_agentslash.aml.zip Thanks! And yet, I tried different kexts (VoodooPS2Controller.kext, ApplePS2Controller.kext) but I can not use trackpad preferences panel. A window opens with the:"Wait for a Bluetooth trackpad to be discovered. No trackpad found". What can i do? P.S. Sorry for my bad english

It's a simple change though. The DV8 Core i is an older version of the fix and doesn't include latest changes. I'll keep you posted. Has any one made the little card reader work yet ? I thing that is the only thing left to make our system almost perfect I'm working on getting the card reader support at the moment, as few days ago jMicron released official drivers for Mac for the JMB38X chip. Problem is, they're not working out of box, neither with DSDT device-id injection (the driver is for a slightly different dev-id). If any of you want to debug the problem, feel free to download the driver from the public jMicron ftp (ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/)

In the PCI0->P0P2 device HDAU should be after the device PEGP. As soon as I moved the device HDAU below the PEGP - in audio I have a new output (HDMI / DisplayPort Output). The remaining issues not yet decided.
