Please help me! I have tried NatitX1300,but it crashes (just a blind screen)...I did everything, what said HERE: http://www.insanelymac.com/lofiversion/index.php/t59218.html. I am beginner,so please make it simple... I use Mac OS X 10.5.2... motherboard: Gigabyte 945GZ graphics: ATI Radeon X1300 Pro (GV-RX13P256DE-RH)...Gigabyte technology...if it says something to you... I am beginner in this field...PLEASE give me step-by-step instuctions, how to get my Radeon X1300 Pro working...I have tried using Natit: I installed it,repared permissions,restarted...and BOOM...BLACK SCREEN...I have read SOOOO many forum posts,but...no help... kellogs
I have read something about "device id is not in the kext file you have to add it yourself"...how can I find my device id and how can I add it in the kext file? thanks! Hi, that device id is located under /System/Library/Extensions/_X1000_.kext/Contents/Info.plist under the <key>IOPCIMatch</key> line, between the <string> ... </string> tag. Now ... "_X100_.kext" is a generic name ... I can't exactly recall how the kext (Kernel EXTension) file is named, but it sure has the 'X1000' part in it, so it is something like ___X1000___.kext . There you will find some entries like "<string>0x71421002 0x71461002 [etc etc...] </string>, whereas the first dword (7142, 7146, etc ....) denotes a device id, and the 1002 part denotes the vendor id (ATI uses 1002). My ATI X1300 has a device id of 7142, and most likely, so does yours. (to make sure, boot ur system from the leopard install disc, and from the utilities menu select the system verifier (or something like that) - there, under 'graphics' treenode, you can find both ids). the bottomline is that these drivers coming by default in the leopard 10.5.2 osx86 install disc theoretically support the ATI X1300 graphical board. You will find the 0x71421002 string right there in its place, no need to modify anything. However, as you might have probably guessed, I am just like you trying to get a hackintosh to work and not being able to pass over the blue screen at boot. We just might not figure out how to make this work in a milion years, as people do not usually waste their time if they do not need help. babenis
I have an exact same issue with my install on ATI Radeon X1300. I need to get it to work on 1680x1050 resolution (as some people claim it works oefectly well for them) I tried installing Kalyway and iAtkos iAtkos able to boot on 1280x1024 resolution (with boot "Graphics Mode" parameter) Kalyway only runs on 1024x768 resolution here's what I tried to no success: - Install ATYinject - boot into blue screen - Modify ATINDRV to change ATY_Wormy to display and IONDRVDevice to IOPCIDevice - boots into blue screen - Install Natit - boots into power saving mode - or black screen I have same Device ID: 0x71421002 so there isn't anything that i can add to the ATIRadeonX1000.kext since it's already in there by default. Any help in this regard in highly appreciated. Maybe I need to use some diferent kernel or something? Everything else works, except the proper video mode.
