So a question to devs using this version: will unibins made with 2.2 allow for the PPC code to run with 10.4.1 Intel (using Rosetta)? Does the Maxxus 10.4.2 exec patch circumvent the "lockout"?

Anyone know where someone might be able to get preview 1, if they wanted it?

EDIT: Never mind; it can be found on the 10.4.3 DVD.

How exactly does it lock out 10.4.1 - does the IDE not work on it, or do the apps compiled with it not run??

Xcode 2.2 makes changes to the Intel binary header so that 10.4.1 cannot read them properly, and thus, will not launch the app.

lol 1499$ for junk hardware hahahaha

back on topic, the installer can easily hacked to make it install over 10.4.1 but apple has broken binary compatibility again and not in the old way. dunno if you remember that maxxuss released a 10.4.2 kernel exe patch that used to work but doesn't anymore.

All the xcode apps and not only the compiled stuff won't run on 10.4.1 , if you launch them from a terminal they crash with an illegal istruction msg
