Vista AND Office RTM leaked to the masses

You were probably expecting this. Vista RTM has been taken from the MSDN download site and leaked to the public torrent sector. For those who can't wait for the build to hit shelves in January, you can install and test this build for a trial period of 30 days; after that, you'll just have to wait to obtain a legit key in order to continue using it. There are also rumors of a crack to enable use of RC1 and RC2 keys - obviously we can't confirm this as we haven't tested them.

 

As always, we don't encourage you to steal. In fact, we strongly discourage it. Don't steal.

 

On a side note: Office 2007 is on MSDN, but has yet to be leaked. (Updated: Man, they're fast... Office 2007 is now available as well.)

 

UPDATE: I will confirm that the Office 2007 RTM build is 12.0.4518.1014. This is the ENTERPRISE edition, not ULTIMATE.

 

On another interesting sidenote, it appears that NO Office 2007 edition will be available with all the programs of the new Office 2007 family. Specifically, the most complete editions are Ultimate and Enterprise, which are missing Office 2007 Communicator and Office 2007 Outlook with Business Contact Manager respectively. And to clarify, Enterprise WILL have Outlook 2007, just without the "Business Contact Manager". While Communicator 2007 is a neat application that lets you collaborate in real time with others on Office projects, I've yet to discover what the "Business Contact Manager" for Outlook is.

 

UPDATE: I know what it is, but...just read for yourself: it is what it's called.

We could post such links but they violate the rules here.

 

And since, no one has yet to come forth stating they have an iso that contains a working RTM 64bit edition it's ok for him to state what he has stated.

 

Try to keep an open mind in an open forum.

He could have saved people a LOT of time and BANDWIDTH...

The rules state that you can't post links to warez. Now again, where are these viable sources you are referring to.

If anyone remembers, people doubted when windows xp was leaked the first time too. Even though no site out there had nuked it or said it was wrong. The only people who said it wasn't the final version, are the ones who say they heard it from someone else.

 

So provide proof or just be quiet. You're only wasting your time bringing it up if you don't have proof, not anyone elses.

yeah, I've been installing OS X86 on my usb drive since way back. Started off with the whole dual boot, 2 partition thing, but my laptop-drive is just too small for that. So yeah, installing to a USB drive is great if you want to install a new OS without risking your main setup. VERY handy.

okay, maybe that was harsh, sorry, to answer your question "since when" I guess the answer is "10.4.1 x86". That link you attached is all about G5s and OsX 10.3.8, so there you go, guess you couldn't do that on PPC macs.

I was aware of that and it seems a few people were having problems with it. But lo and behold a patch to patch the iso was released that brought it up to the same version as the version that is on msdn. So those people who did download it, can simply get this patch and be done with it. Course the x86 + x64 AIO was also released and that hasn't been nuked either. So then all these versions are legit. Except for cryso's release, that was nuked.

I'm at 48.9% of the Microsoft Windows Vista RTM 32Bit & 64Bit AIO DVD. Unfortunatly I am sitting behind an Apple Airport Extreme, so P2P is basically limited to only a few connections. I hope the new routers will work better with it. They will have to release ne ones when they allow for those 802.11n cards to finally run at full ability.

I plan on using the 64bit on another partition, but I might try 32bit on my laptop. The vista testing utility told me it would work, but no Aero or anything like that. So it will pretty much be a new xp for it, but who knows, it might run better.

Office 2007 RTM is basically B2TR with all remaining bugs smoothed out. Enjoy, it is a nice product.

B2TR is already an awesome release, just let's figure out how to get the Italian dict.

The bill gates is the best. Installed fine in Boot Camp. Only no sound. Also, this may be my opinion, but don't you think that the default glass in the first boot is too blue?

Which one is the best one?

 

That be the WinBeta release AIO or All In One. Has every version of windows vista for both 32bit and 64bit on there. And it all fits on just one dvd so why only get the one that gives u less when this gives you more.

The Bill Gates iso has been modified quite a bit to let people install using the RC1 keys. Some people reported problems with it, but I think most people are happy with it. However, when I burnt it to a dvd, I got an error when it was copying files.

 

Personally, I think the MSDN release of Vista is the best. It burned without a hitch and ran fine (when burning, set the burn speed to the lowest setting to avoid errors.) A clean install is the best way to go. If you upgrade from XP, old registries can wreck havoc. You might even get a few BSODs.

 

On one final note: don't use any "cracks" that are out there. They modify your system to use RC1 serials. This causes a ton of problems when it comes to installing updates and service packs later on down the road. Just install Vista with no serial. After that, you can either choose to use a proper crack when it becomes available, reset the activation timer, or possibly... *cough*... buy a legit serial when they become available.

 

One thing I like: no matter how many times you reinstall Vista, the serial doesn't become invalid. This could be a good thing for people who get legit keys, but for people with cracks, it can pose a problem.

The Bill Gates ISO hasn't been modified unless someone has re-released it, otherwise the first release with that label is unmodified.

 

The MSDN patch changes a couple of bytes and is just a worthwhile thing to do to the Bill Gates release.
