Finally, here is the long awaited proof of how Vista did not copy Mac OS X. X for Vista...

LOL, i saw that on Apple's Hot Topics link, and I thought why it would be there. Then I watched it and figured out that they were making fun of him.

hahahahahahaa. watching that vista video almost made me cry for the poor souls who really do think that windows would never steal ideas. Then again, OSX has probably stolen a fair amount of ideas from the Linux comunity.

Either way, Mac OSX is still more secure than Vista.

[rant]Finally! A google widget that doesn't just open your browser. I swear to God I was ready to smack all the people who made it onto Apple's top 15 widget list just for making something completely useless. The whole point of a widget is the fact that you don't need to use anything other than the small, single-purpose widget to complete a task. [/end rant]

Let's hope that iBaby doesn't have an iTumor. :thumbsup_anim:

Ah David Pogue, our wonderful mac fan boy is at it again. He painfully has to show why MS never copied Apple as a parody, when in fact we all know that they copied some features from Apple. Then again Apple copied some features from other companies. For example, widgets and user switching. Widgets came from komfabulator. The company that yahoo bought afterwards. Apple never bought them out, just copied them and released it as a feature in their next version of Mac OS X. And the way user switching worked in Mac OS X, Windows XP had before that. Another one, time machine. Microsoft had that similar feature which was called volume shadow copying in Windows 2003 Server already. So whose copying whome here? They both are. And for Apple and its fan boys to claim that Apple never copies other companies software features in its software claiming that Apple is the true innovator, shows to me that you're all nothing but hypocrites.

I think I remember the stupidest one out there was the calendar application. How much difference can you possibly put into a calendar's look? You might as well say that google copied Apple too then. But you won't hear that at all. Because then it wouldn't be directed towards Microsoft.

And for the instant search feature, Microsoft had that first in the PDC 2003 build of longhorn. A full 2 years before Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger would ship with spotlight. The only thing apple did was develop it faster then Microsoft did. That's all.

Face it, everyone copies everyone else and improves it. That's how most ideas come about. You get inspired when you see something else out their and try to improve upon it. Sure it maybe copying. But that's how the world works. And remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. That's all I gotta say.
