Leopard Build 9A283 Leaks

sHARD>>

Another day, another headache for Apple Legal. Leopard, a beta of Mac OS X 10.5, has been leaked in the form of build 9A283. This is the same build which was recently released to ADC members, offering new features such as parental controls, iCal improvements, 3D audio cues, and Preview editing.

Will we see another fiasco as occured with Tiger leaks? This appears to be the first ADC (as opposed to WWDC) leak since Leopard builds began appearing. Interesting.

I don't 100% understand. The software update works on Leopard, allowing to me to update. Or am I guessing that these updates are less major?

No, as I'm telling you for the THIRD time this is a NEW update, not the same one that you could get via Software Update.

It's links to torrents that are banned, not telling what site it is from. I'm gonna look around and see if I can find it. I'm also going to re-check the rules to make sure I'm right :D

how big is the leopard build?

Someone told me the WWDC Preview was 4.33GB, and the 9a283 Release was 4.62GB

its a DL-DVD. Go buy some Verbatium media from newegg while your waiting for it to make like a drunk guy and take a leak :)

although the file size seems to be fishy

yeah, it doesn't seem big enough. my only guess is that the dude that leaked it took out the developers tools, that should put the file size at about the right size...
