iLife, iWork Updated

Alex Oughton

Apple have just released a multitude of separate updates for:

* iWeb

* iPhoto

* Pages

* Keynote

* iMovie HD

* iDVD

* GarageBand

The updates all together total 132.6 MB, with most updates relating only to Aperture 1.5 interoperability. iPhoto's update also includes new themes and card designs, with a few stability updates for iMovie HD also included.

It's odd that they're doing this for an Aperture update that hasn't been released yet...

well Im sure they want the updates before its relesed so people dont complain and say "its not compatable with ..." when all they had to do was an update.

iWeb, installed new Frameworks and Resources via Pacifist.

don't know if that is enough for the Aperture integration. have no clue. :blink:

more to it than that.

iWeb doesn't upgrade properly.

not "eligible", (straighton) pacifist installation doesn't make it workable either.

I also have this issue, what i did is to update 1st to 1.1.1 and download the 1.1.2 on the other end, software update for iWeb 1.1.1 went fine (this is biggy.. 95mb) and update manually the downloaded 1.1.2... and BOOM!! it works...

Will this work for the mac hack n tosh? Ive updated before with no problems and use little snitch to guard everything else.....still on 10.4.6, also, isn't there a security update that I should do? I've never done anything really except install 10.4.5, then update to 10.4.6 following the 10 minute instructions (terminal etc, you would think someone would write a batch script so we would not have to type everything in the terminal, leaving less room for error :-)), please advise.

Thanks!

Dude, there have been several people (most notably JaS) who have released installer packages that correctly update without having to go through Terminal, where have you been? Also, a patched version of the 10.4.8 update is available (again, as an installer package) on Pirate Bay. Be sure to get the second release, not the first one.

Thanks, guess I am waiting to see if the updates work with 10.4.6?

The only JaS one I found via USENET is 10.4.7_Server.

There are others but they just say 10.4 thats it. Wondering if someone could:

a) Confirm that the updates work on 10.4.6

:D is it worth it to upgrade to 10.4.8 and if so (on a hackntosh) which version is verion 2? If someone could PM me with the correct bit torrent file, much appreciated. Also, best bit torrent client for mac?

Thanks again,

peace
