I've voted for Leo4all v3 - because it works like a charme. before I've used zephyroth leo X 5.2, it was a bit unstable sometimes and then I borked it the same day when v3 was released.

with v3 all previous problems are away - a very stable amd64 single core hackmac with full qe/ci used for music with logic studio - evaluating the mac platform ;) and it's great!

thanks to all mac-hackers and this wonderful community, you made a dream come true for me!

iATKOS FTW only worked on my system well the v1.0ir2 updated to 3 for my nforce 680i chipset then upgraded to 10.5.2 using kalyway combo everything 100% working even time machine some how is, must be that ATA .mpkg thing

I would consider that retail patches

Um..what about BrazilMac?

My answer is None.

I tried several distributions on my Dell XPS m1330, but I encounter too many problems with all of them.

The only thing that worked for me was the leopard release in vmware but is damn too slow to actually use (and the network didn't worked). Maybe VirtualBox will have a faster emulation when they add vmware image support.

What I found is that these distributions are incomplete. Some in drivers, other in languages, other in apps.

Why is to much effort in creating a distribution, maybe is better to perfect a EFI emulator, just like Psytar did it and that way we only have to buy the MacOS.

Sorry for my english, spanish is my native language.

Regards,

Lorenzo

Well the poll is open. Which Leopard Distribution would you favor the most? and Why?

I´m using Zephyroth 10.5.2 Rev2... and I´ve got almost everything working perfectly(after a bit of patching and fixing)... only serious problem left is the Fan-control, my machine overheats and shuts down(and that IS unfortunately a pretty serious problem).

I am planning to try out the Leo4All V3 now(just downloaded it)... but will keep my Zephyroth install as well.

:censored2:

Tried him AMD update yet? =)

For me with my AMD Chipset (790fx/SB600) it's gotta be Zephyroth 10.5.2 rev2

I've got a Shuttle SG33G5 which so far has worked flawlessly. I can print, surf the web, watch movies, listen to iTunes, etc. The only problem I have is that i haven't been able to solve how to get all the other resolutions to display correctly on my 42" LCD using my x1950 Pro. I've already used Bronya's drivers, I have QE and CI but so far only 1024x768 fits my screen perfectly. I have time machine working as well! :thumbsdown_anim: I still haven't tested burning a DVD which I won't try until I get the adapter I ordered to turn one of the molex connectors into a power connector for my SATA DVD. RIght now my set up has a 320 gb and a 750 gb Seagate HD, USB Western Digital 500gb My Book, x1950 Pro video card, Samsung SATA 20x, DVD Burner E6550 Duo Core, Patriot Extreme PC6400 4GB RAM and a HP Printer.

All thanks to Kalyway 10.5.2!!! I didn't have to do ANYTHING. In the installer, I just picked the Vanilla Kernel, none of the video drivers (installed Bronyas after), chose the Time Machine fix from the patches menu and left all else alone.

Thanks again to everyone who has helped with information on how to get OSX running!!! This is the first "Mac" system I've run since my PowerBook 5300!!! Now I remember what its like to run Apple products. When I start making some real cash I'll be buying authentic Apple products from here on out.

I've narrowed my choices to Leo4All and Zephyroths. =)

Nice.... :D

Retail + PCEFIv8 + dsmos + macdotnub's AppleSMBIOS = win
