Hi kaly,

I followed your instructions but my graphics still don't work. Durring install I choose NVIDIA only. I also started in single user mode, moved the video drivers but no luck so far with Asus EN7300GT. What can I do wrong?

Thanks, Sovy

Hello, i have done this installation before and then i removed it. I do not remember exactly how i installed it. Now, i am trying to install it again but i cannot get as far as booting the DVD. I have tried everything from -v to using a different kernel such as the speedstepkernel. Sometimes, it stops scrolling and stays like this forever: BSD root: disk1s2, major 14, minor 6. Another thing that happens is that it stops and says something about my main HD. I have a Toshiba Satellite A215 with an AMD processor. Please help me!

I just burned into a DVD a new downloaded image of Kalyway DVD. I confirmed the md5. I still have the same problem

I tested in all modes, I got stuck all the time.

I Got a Asus m50vn.

Hi there,

I had the same problem on a dell Latitude d610, couldnt get Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD to to boot into the installer.

Downloaded kalyway 10.5.1 and this worked fine. i found booting with an external display connected & the switchs -x -F -cpus=1 worked pretty well.

Updated to 10.5.2 via combo update successfully.

I dont have networking going yet & a lot of apps such as ical, chess etc crash on startup - others are fine.

Hi, i'm new on this and i wanted to know if this ISO will work on my pc:

Mother Board: ASRock ALiveNF6G-VSTA

Procesador: Amd x2 4000+

Video: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE/nForce 430 Chipset

Audio: HDA ALC888

Lan: nVidia nForce Network Controller

WiFi: Realtek RTL8185 54M

Teclado Muose ps2

Ram: 4 GB

Disco 320 Gb ATA

Thanks, hope to work :)

I'm somewhat new to the OSx86 community, and was wondering if its possible to change to wifi drivers after installing? Also, I have to safe boot every time I start up my hackintosh. I think its because of my firewire port, which I don't use. I think this because there is an error about my firewire when I boot the computer, and it hangs if I don't do safe boot. Can anyone tell me why this is? Any help would be appreciated.

BTW, I forgot to mention my machines specs.

Intel P4(Prescott) 3.0GHz processor

HP mobo with American Megatrends BIOS

Nvidia graphics card with 256MB RAM

Western Digital WD400 harddrive

Any questions should be directed to my e-mail, andylibby1916@gmail.com.

I've been trying to get kalyway 10.5.2 to work on my system...but with mixed results. Depending on the options i select

during install i get either:

(a) grey apple screen (if i dont select legacy flag)

(;) "still waiting for root device" or

© the applenforceata found 0 units code (if i leave that mobo selection checked)...

also: I get "appleUSBHCI: unable to inittialize UIM" in the script I've noticed.

or can someone enlighten me on which boxes to check during installation or any other helpful ideas...I've been making a

chart on what boxes I tick and the results but havent found the right combo yet...

Edit: Ok, I got it started and got to the installer. I bought an external hard drive (320GB Western Digital) to install this on so I don't mess up my original hard drive, but when I go to disk utilities in installer, I doesn't show up. Is this because it is connected thru a USB port? If this is the case, how else can I connect it? PLEASE HELP!!
