To skip the sleep image at boot, type:

when you patch your dsdt, make sure you type

-newHPET

as explained in patcher readme.

And you have to install chameleon before, then replace boot file by netkas one as explained above.

sorry I am a bit lost where do i type -newhpet

second i have netkas v9 already installed.....

do I have to go back to version b4 also where in my leo disk I have to put the patched file......

merci sonotone

ok I tell you what I did as soon as terminal opened with patcher I wrote -newHPET did patching.

copied into leo root boot up and I could see message at startup saying patching done.

I then replaced boot loader with netkas efi v9 and renamed file dsdt.aml to DSDT.aml as it said in netkas .

I loaded applecpuintel managment kext with kexthelper

But I still get no hpet error what do I have to do???????????? :)

Hey Sonotone, you kick ass.

I have been using your pack and working great, internet and all, 1390 wireless in my M1530 - However the last airport update took my airport away. And i can't seem to get it back even re-installing your wireless fix.

Any thoughts of what else I could try? What the heck kexts could that airport update have messed up that we need back?

Hello Sonotone,

Is the shutdown fix not packaged in 1.3.1? I was hoping to get shutdown to work. Hopefully this issue will be fixed in show because of the nvidia support. Also, is there any way to get full or better support for the built in webcam? There is a huge lag and limited resolution. The manufacturer of the webcam, omnivision said that they provide drivers to manufactuers and mac os is supported but they wouldn't provide them to consumers.

Thanks for your help!

I've made a micro application whit Applescript to put the system in hibernate mode (to have an access via the dock and use s4, witch is fastest than deepsleep's s5).

The only thing you have to do is to set your password to prevent the app ask for it each time you run it.

So, download the file, open it with Script editor, set your password to the right place, save (command+s).

You can also switch hibernate mode to 2,3...etc.

Only for PC_EFi V9.

thanks for the little tool, using it.

sonotone, after the complete reinstall I found another problem with my E1505/6400. I am using a USB mouse and only now realized that my synaptic trackpad is not working correctly. it behaves erratically in the main area and works like a normal trackpad in the scrolling bar areas (reverse just like somebody else in this thread noticed). I only installed the gma950 drivers and the C2D kernel with your patcher. I assume that your retail installer iso is setting sth for the trackpad?

it's cause the appleps2keyboard installed is modified to run with ffscroll.

i just upload here a "normal" ApplePS2Controller. in case you don't have any sucess with this thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=88811

followed your instructions to replace the PS2Controller kexts in the Extra/Extensions.mkext - replacing the kexts worked. but after I reboot I still have the same problems.

edit1: just occured to me that I may have to replace the PS2Controller as well after stripping the plugins from the normal one? so, I have to replace a total of 4 files. the three kext mouse, trackpad and keyboard and then the PS2Controller kext without the plugins?

thank you

edit2: ok, since this didn't go anywhere I went through the ffscroll business again and thanks to the help of the pref setter app I was able to tweak the trackpad to almost perfection with starting values found in this thread. see attached the optimized plist for E1505/6400.

Phew! Everything works perfect now! now I wonder if it's possible to make the scrolling aware of windows they hover over and not just the main window (e.g. scroll areas within a browser).

I have been look through it but doesnt get much out of it.

Can you help me please :(

the problem is that the experts for your hardware with all its problems installing osx are in that thread by macgirl. it depends on what specific hardware you have. only knowing your model won't help us. My experience however from my own installations is that you should check as little as possible and only the must have kexts specific to your hardware - which again is something that people with that model will know best.

hey, the patcher's readme explain everything. Just take your time and read it.

First, you need to open terminal, then drag the patcher inside, type -newHPET and press enter.

unfortunately, your wireless has no fix, unless somebody else corrects me. I am not aware of any fixed kexts that make Intel cards work. You can buy a used Dell 1390 or 1395 on Ebay and replace the one you got.

if you go to the first page of this thread you will see that sonotone included a driver for your audio specifically for that card.

good luck

I have a small problem with ffscroll daemon. after reboot most of the settings work except the scrolling part (it's jumpy). I am not sure why that is, but when I restart the daemon it works. somebody wrote a little mousestart app, but that doesn't work (says classic environment not longer supported). I have no idea how to write a little script that will run at startup to do just that. the script only needs to run two lines:

sudo killall -9 FFScrollDaemon
sudo /usr/local/bin/FFScrollDaemon

thanks

Hey I have a dell inspiron 1520, and just recently updated to 10.5.5, when I had 10.5.4 I used the v1.3 installer to install sigmatel 9205 drivers, then after it was done used os 86 tools to repair permissions, restarted the comp but couldn't get sound. So the sound still doesn't work for 10.5.5 and was wondering if there is anything I can do to get it working.

Another issue im having is since upgrading to 10.5.5 My videocard (nvidia 8600M GT) lost QE support, any way of getting it back?

Thanks
