CulT3
Hi! I am having the same issue. I have Mac OS X 10.4.6 with SSE2-patch. I want to upgrade to 10.4.11. If I download the "Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (Intel)" from here http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/mac...pdateintel.html and run it, will it work fine and installs fine to this latest version without losing or messing anything? Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/96260-can-i-update/#findComment-688792 Share on other sites
OSXtotheZ
No you cannot update from 10.4.6 to 10.4.11 using the Apple Updater. It will mostlikely hose your system. Before you do any system upgrade i advise you to back up your system so you can restore if needed. I also suggest you seek out XxX 10.4.11 however I caution that its has several options as far as kernels and kext so I would not say its a straight forward upgrade. I found Koolkal's 10.4.10 a much easier upgrade to do and in retrospect might have just stayed with that. your mileage may vary.
