Alessandro17
Parsix GNU/Linux 1.0r1 GNOME desktop Absolutely lovely look Great package selection Based on Debian Testing, thus you don't have to wait for the next release in order to get updates Rock solid Kanotix based hardware detection, you can't beat that. Parsix is an absolute gem, albeit little known, and it beats hands down the GNOME based competition. http://distrowatch.com/?newsid=04794 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/95594-new-parsix-release/ Share on other sites

~pcwiz
Naw, not yet. I'm might give this a try on a virtual machine sometime though, if the buzz about it becomes so big that I can't resist P.S. Any particular reason why it always says you're offline when you aren't? Slip
I wish these Distro-gnomes would let you choose open-office instead. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/95594-new-parsix-release/#findComment-692692 Share on other sites

Alessandro17
I wish these Distro-gnomes would let you choose open-office instead. Sorry, I don't get that. GNOME is a desktop environment. OpenOffice is an office suite. So there is no reason why you can't use GNOME and OpenOffice together. Alessandro17
Sounds good! It is really nice, believe me. It has become my second favorite distro after openSUSE.
