Can you upload it somewhere or give an Link where have you found it ?

Thanks

Sorry for so long to reply. I am currently out of the country, but you can get the Natit.kext from iAtkos 4...

Let me know if you can't get it from there and perhaps I can post it somewhere...

So the only thing to do next time is: Install with the appropriate driver, or without any (as you will get a garbled screen or kernel panic if you do not choose wisely). If there is no appropriate driver on the CD grab it from the link i gave above - install, probably repair permissions. Reboot, see if it works and QE/CI is enabled. If all works except of QE/CI get your devid in the appropriate kextfile. It is easy if you understand the basics, and if your HW is compatible (see my prob with the 3850...). So have fun with your H4ckint0sh. :)

in my case, no need change any permission, straight away install & reb0ot, but ive delete those geforce driver before installation. i dont know what IF i didnt delete the unneeded driver(geforces).. im very proud of my h4ck now, running all mac apps. w/out hassle. im gonna leave windows :)

what is QE/CI & how knowing its running or not?

from about this mac> more info> graphis/ displays..

i found status quartz extreme supported. is that QE btw?

I got an ATi HD2400 Pro working @ 1080p with DVI using a fresh install without any modifications. Using JaS 10.5.4 install disk. Only using DVI, with DVI to HDMI cable.

Device ID: 94C3

ToH 9.4 Kernel

Intel ICHx Drivers

MacPro SMB bios (or whatever)

For the ATi Drivers, I selected both ATi HD2400 Pro and HD2400 XT PCIE driver versions

No Open GL support, no interface acceleration. And there's this flickering happening coming from the right side of the screen, only seems to do it in 1080p mode, 720p looks ok but overscan is messed up (zoomed in almost).

Any ideas?

Update: After messing around with it some more, I got CI/QE going. So I now have full hardware acceleration on DVI output on the HD2400 Pro.

I had to install Natit, edit the Device Id and rebooted.

The only thing that remains is that in 1920x1080 there's a lot of flickering (colored lines) going about when the system is processing something, otherwise when idling, there's barely any lines that show up.

Yes i tryed to install with or without the drivers that are included in the Dvd.

yeah, but i alredy solve it.

for the ones that have the same problem:

when you install Kalyway/Ideneb dont select any video driver.

when the install finish, enter in safe mode: at the darwin screen press -x. then the welcome screen appears, when you finish

open de Partion of Mac, then go to this route: /System/Library/Extensions/AtiX2000radeon.kext (dont close the windows)

go to the desktop, create a Folder, copy the kext ati.... to this folder.

then click the right button of the mouse and select "Show Packacge contents", go to this route:

/contents/infoplist, then search and erase this 0x9581, click in close window and click in SAVE.

then copy this kext to /System/Library/Extensions/ and replace the original one.

Restar

your system will star with a {censored}y display 1280*768.

if someone can give me a tutorial to set mi Intel Pro Wirless 3945abg and my sigmatel 9205.

C u s n

(See you soon)

I've been sruggling to get my ATI HD 2400 pro to work, and will try getting ahold of the Jas 10.5.4 disc to see if the 0x94c1 card I have will work. The interesting thing is, this card came from a new Dell GX755, which has that silly dongle you need to connect monitors, which is why I think I don't have the 0x94c3...and it won't work :(

I'm assuming you're referring to JaS.OSx86.10.5.4.Client.Server.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.iso [4448MB] ?

USERNOTFOUND. Try installing the ideneb flavor 10.5.4. It should have the drivers for ATI 2400 PRO. You can also try downloading the drivers from http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...amp;hl=ati+2400

I got it to work on a dell except that i can only get the pic using the DVI-to_VGA dongle. I can't get it to work with DVI-DVI somehow.

Thanks, I'll give the ideneb 10.5.4 a shot. The drivers you linked seem to show that my device ID indicates it's a 2400xt, even though GPUID (or GPUZ i forget) identifies it as a pro, and so does the dell order sheet. I'll certainly post my results here, and I do have the vga+vga dongle to use, as well, so cross your fingers for me!

Hi,

i did search first but found nothing about. I am in the process of building a machine for my son and learning a lot from this forum. they use some windows xp stuff in school and he would like to use mac os x mainly. so we decided to try to build a machine for both reasons. So now after reading some stuff i wonder is there a way to use the graphics drivers you provide here on my macpro to drive some pc-graphic-cards (price matters)? any hint how to use this drivers on a real mac?

thx

I just recently installed Kalway 10.5.2 for the first time on my machine, and I got pretty much everything working with some reading here (lan/audio - I have a P5KR, so I had to load extra kexts in order to get those to work)

The only thing I haven't been able to get going is the white menu fix. I have a Radeon HD3870 and system profiles says this ATI Radeon HD 3800:

Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 3800

Type: Display

Bus: PCIe

PCIe Lane Width: x16

VRAM (Total): 512 MB

Vendor: ATI (0x1002)

Device ID: 0x9501

Revision ID: 0x0000

ROM Revision: 113-B1480A-236

EFI Driver Version: 01.00.236

Displays:

SyncMaster:

Resolution: 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz

Depth: 32-bit Color

Core Image: Hardware Accelerated

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Supported

Rotation: Supported

Display Connector:

Status: No display connected

Unfortunately, I have selected one or two drivers during the kalway install which said they'd fix the white menu issue, after that I also tried the kexts in this topic, all to no avail though... Probably because I couldn't figure out how to edit ATIRadeonX2000.kext and what I had to put in there...

I hope someone can give me a quick answer as to what I have to do? I'm running Kalway OS X 10.5.2 on an Intel E8500, P5KR, 4GB of RAM and an MSI HD3870 OC edition

Hi

I have HD 3850 and when I tried to make it work I got that message:

62bbfb076e.png

I use 10.5.1 (iAtkos 1.0ir2)

Please help ;)

Means wrong owner:group. OS x only loads/uses .kext with root:wheel (all files in the content!)

Check: with an ls -l /System/Library/Extensions/Natit.kext you will see some files/folders are NOT root:wheel.

in terminal :

sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/Natit.kext

delete extensions.mkext and reboot.

To avoid such problems with not usable .kexts use OSX86Tools or Install Kext Helper to install - not drag&drop in finder!!
