IMPhill Posted March 15, 2008 Share Posted March 15, 2008 OK system specs: AMDx64 6000+ (3.1GHz) 1GB PC6700 RAM 250GB HDD (44GB free) ASUS (ATi) X1300 128 HM512 using the DVI output Problem: I install OSX with Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso and it all goes well. i get to install it all i select everything (all options) and i spend hour and 30 installing it. i reboot, i take out the disk and it starts up. All good, however about 15 seconds into the grey screen boot up and my monitor just goes blank and then goes to stand-by. the computer seems to continue doing things... but i dont know. Any help would really helpful as im on a sorta time limit here. THANKYOU!! hecker Posted March 15, 2008 Share Posted March 15, 2008 I don't think that you should choose all options since you have to pick either AMD or Intel, not both. Also, you may want to try tubgirl's release for AMD PCs. jet73 Posted March 17, 2008 Share Posted March 17, 2008 try press F8 as it starts. then use option -V -X. this will boot up with Standard VGA driver. see if that works. The other thing you can try (if it is a laptop), plug a monitor and use the external monitor. I find that some times if I switch between the internal LCD and external monitor the display sometimes comeback and allow you to see the error message.
