I entered in boot sequence of the dvd (with f8 i think) and i writed what you said the cpus=1 and it gives the same error.

I just noticed (after the repetitives attempts) that there is a yellow error before those IO errors, it says:

Failed to load extension org.tgwbd.driver(acpips2nub)

Or something like that, can it be related? or what else can i do?

PD: ups i think i posted this in a wrong place, i just saw the other post of the leo4allv2 (that with the ppf alredy applied) version that is what i dowloaded, can that make any diffrence?

Thanks =)

IM happy to say that finaly i got my 7600gt agp to work fully with QE/CI and also in system profiler it is recognized as 512 mb.Only Darwin on boot reports the card as 256mb but i dont care.

My internet works and everything else works and im happy as a clam.I took a lot of reading online to finaly get the video card to work and it was a pain. Now the only thing thats bothering me is the card is agp but its been recognized as pci.Ive read that Agpgart can fix that but im not sure.If anyone knows anything about this please feel free to say something.

And thanks eddie11c for your hard work on bringing out such a nice release of Leo.

i need to read up today's posts, but... dl'd v2, installs on my compaq c714nr lappy, but... any chance of next version with x3100 video support?

i've installed iatkos v1.0ir2 as per instructions elsewhere and get CLOSE but... no cigar. iA does have x3100 support, this is why i ask. Actually it was almost perfect... video/wireless... but... heating up like crazy, and hesitant to even play around trying to fix it, it's that hot... lol. (and following the other choices, i lose keyboard... or wireless... as my great grandma Rosanne Rosannadana used to say... "it's always something"... lol

Anyway... L4Av2 installs... no sound but i figure i just didn't pick the right audio... and obviously i just get the VESA driver... oh and the wonky trackpad... but it DOES run cool enough for me to feel comfortable trying to fix those issues (never kext'd before, got a bit more reading to do)

Now for the real reason registered/posting this, i know people have asked about dual booting vista and wondered if i could rewrite something to post on wikidot. the old link from the osx86 install guide doesn't seem to work anymore. but... i found a cached version on my drive (just needs a slight rewrite since some of the stuff was directly aimed at iatkos install) but it does work on vista and is simple enough (done it several times...though not quite as simple as the tboot instructs) it's great for those with vista already installed and can be done a partition on the same drive without issue and obviously works with L4A... lol

anyway, let me know

thanx

Alright so I burned Leo4All and put it in my Dell Latitude D600....problem is I hear the DVD spinning in the drive but it never boots. It reads movies and other DVDs fine. Could it be because it's an older laptop?

I haven't messed with this in a long time. It's a first gen Pentium M. I don't see why it wouldn't go. Any help?

Is your laptop set to boot from the DVD? You should see Darwin immediately.

Please do, I'm curious to know too since another user on the other forum (Leo4AllCommunity Wiki) had his 5500 AGP working as well. Thanks =)

Ok, I installed Leo4All on my girlfriend's system - an AMD X2 5600+, Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H motherboard, 2GB of RAM, nVidia 8600GT. Ethernet and all USB was detected right off. Installed the AC97 driver package, and sound works. Just poking around with the nVidia drivers now to get something other than 1024x768 on her 22" LCD ;)

Awesome work! It worked 'right out of the box' on her system - SATA hard disks and SATA DVD-RW. I have the same motherboard, but a PATA DVD drive, and it wouldn't boot on mine, but that's ok - my DVD is dying and I need to replace it. I've got a Radeon X1950 Pro, so that'll be interesting.

Just wanted to report an unqualified success. The MA69-S2H uses an AMD690 chipset, in case anyone's interested.

Yup, I have it set to DVD drive only and then...nothing. It does have XP installed on the HD. Maybe I should try to erase it.

If you boot into Windows do you see anything on the DVD? there is a small partition visible through windows without any special programs.

I think I might be having kernel errors on my AMD system during installer boot. Specs are in the sig, heres a picture.

Edit: Ok I have a nasty feeling inside that the error is being caused by my nVIDIA® nForce3 250Gb Chipset. It works perfectly in Jas 10.4.8 so I'm not giving up in leopard. Eddie, any suggestions?

What i did wasinstalled leo4all v2 on a separate hd ani picked the 10.5.2 drivers update and nothing else. Then after i get a succesfull leo boot up i went to http://nvinject.free.fr/downloads.php and downloaded at the bottom of the page Latest_NVinject.0.2.1_512Mb.zip.

First i mdified using terminal 3 files and i inserted the values of the vendor id for my graphics card which looks like this string>0x02e01de<string

And the last step was to use the NVinject.kext which i downloaded previously and insert it in the Extensions folder and repair permisions and ownerships and reboot and everithing came to life.

But now for some reasonm my dvd player is not working so i dont know what is the cause.

If anyone wants the files let me know and ill upload them somwhere.

This is the walkthru i followed http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=75246 and i give credits to the person that made that tutorial.

Well I got the first few things changed that I wanted. Now to figure out an easy way for you to change out extensions...

Looks like your making some progress. That's the installer right? If so I'm noticing it's showing your DVD in the list, which is pretty cool. Good luck with the extensions...

BTW: I'm jealous of those hard drives showing up..

When booting from the Leo4All DVD i can see a PCI SATA controller and its drives, after installing with both ICHx_Fixed_IOATA (i have a GA-P35-DS3L motherboard) and i put the siliconimage3132 one in it but my card is a 3512 chipset. Anyways ive tried installed one and not the other and both and not having much luck. Other then that everthing is great
