I think I got the PS2 problem taken care of already, it depends what version of ACPIPlatform you are using on what you need. The older 1.0.3 does not need PS2Nub, where as 1.1.0 and 1.2.1 do. If you are getting errors with the old ACPIPlatform please try removing it completely and booting with -f once. If it works fine, be sure to rm the Extensions.mkext.

What I would like from some people that have leopard installed, could you please run this command from terminal and post the results.

sysctl -n machdep.cpu.brand_string

I read that in new Kalyway's release there are some ICH9 support by DUNE. Will there be that support in your new release eddie11c?
dude where you been? its already there.

Eddie, are you saying to remove the AppleACPIPlatform.kext?

Hi eddie, and thank you very much for your work!

I have some problems with the AppleNForceATA driver, and I think someone reported it previously.

When I boot on the DVD, I have a black screen with the debugger trace.

If this can help you to improove this release, here are my devices id of my IDE/PATA controlers:

PATA (0x00E510DE): PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00E5&SUBSYS_A5511297&REV_A2\3&13C0B0C5&0&40

SATA (0x00E310DE): PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00E3&SUBSYS_A5511297&REV_A2\3&13C0B0C5&0&50

I tried to change some file on the ISO using transmac but I had no success.

If there is something that I can do to test a fix I am available to try it. :(

Thanks

No what I am saying, if you have ACPIPlatform version 1.0.3 you should remove ACPIPS2Nub, its not needed.

Is this a panic you get at the initial part of the boot? I could probably move these device ID's out of AppleNforce, but not sure how that would effect others. Nforce boards use the same Device ID's alot. I will take a look at this, if you can search around to see if any other motherboards use these same Device ID's. I will look also, but my time is pretty limited right now, and I still need more info from people running leopard for the output of the sysctl -n machdep.cpu.brand_string

Please take a minute if you have Leopard installed and run this command from Terminal and post the output!

What are the specs for your laptops and what kernel did you install?

There are a variety of things you can try but I need a better idea of the above before I can point you in the right direction.

PS. Did you try the PS2Nub fix I posted earlier in this thread?

I didn't try your fix, the thread is 70+ pages (i think) and would take hourrrs to look through.

I'm using 2 laptops, a Dell Latitude D630 and an XPS m1330. Both are on the 9.2.2 kernel

Thanks

EDIT: Eddie, on your next release can you include some sigmatel drivers that were made by taurga? Like the 9228, 9220, and 9227 kexts, or the installer and a zip file on the computer with the codecs?

+

my result from that in terminal is: Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.00GHz (which is correct)

Yes it is a panic in the initial part of the boot, few seconds after.

A picture of the screen display is attached.

I try to search if other motherboards use this same ID's,

but I think that it is all Nforce3 250GB chipset, espcially AMD Athlon 64 motherboards.

I found this ones:

Epox: EP-8KDA3+

Epox: EP-8KDA3+ PRO

Epox: EP-8KDA3J

MSI: K8N Neo Platinum (MS-7030)

MSI: K8N Neo-FSR (MS-7030)

ASUS: K8N-E Deluxe

BIOSTAR: K8NHA Grand

BIOSTAR: K8NHA-M Grand

Albatron: K8X250GB Pro

DFI: LANPARTY UT nF3 250Gb

Jetway: N250DAG

Abit: NF8

Abit: NF8-V

Soltek: SL-B9A-FGR

Soltek: SL-K8AN2-GR

Soltek: SL-K8AN2E-GR

I have no Leopard running yet, so I boot on Tiger, and write the commande line "sysctl -n machdep.cpu.brand_string"

It gives me the following result : "AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+"

Hey there every one I have a few questions. I have a very rare board (in the sense that not many people use it) an ASUS P5N-D 750i. I got the waiting for root device error but I got lucky in the bios and was abble to boot in. So I got almost every thing running except that the drivers just didn't want to work out for me so I tried Kalaway. The problem there was the other way around. The drivers worked like a dream but the damn thing didn't work verry well I.E. crashes every where. So I was wondering can I transfer drivers and Kexts from Kalaway to Leo 4 all and Vice versa?

Yes

1. Install Leo4All ENSURING THE "GOODAPPS" BOX IS CHECKED

2. Boot in and insert the Kaly disc

3.use pacifist (in applications folder) to extract the drivers you need

This works either way

Try manually setting your IP addresses. I did not change anything as far as network drivers goes. Only changed the video drivers.

Ok give these a try.

ATI 2600PRO

ATI 2600XT & 3870

ATI 3850

For those new 3650 users around like me, I got my passive EAH3650 working following these steps:

- Installed Kalyway 10.5.1

- Installed Kalyway 10.5.2 combo update

- Installed Apple graphics update

- Installed natit.kext

- Installed 3850 file downloaded from above

I think I didn't followed the correct order but it worked, this allowed me to change resolution, and I don't find the card too hot, but I also suspect that I don't have some visual enhacements I should, but I just arrived here, been reading for a couple of days, and would like to know what should I do to test my graphic configuration and to know what I have and what I don't.

Hey Eddie,

Crossing my fingers didn't work... :(

I had errors coming with the leo4all disk.

SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed. Sense_KEY = numbers.... repeat repeat repaet.

Figured it was the disk, so burnt a second... same thing. ..

Then tried the orignal download iatkos v1.

It worked! But then on reboot (after successful install) i got a message popup... You need to restart your computer.

So i am in that loop now, looking for answers.... Any ideas? About the Leo4All errors or the other.

Thanks again

Jason

Hi eddie and all, today I bought a NVidia GF 8400 GS 256Mb and tried to install NVinject 0.21 or 0.22 but no luck, so I downloaded NVidia Installer V1.9 by Punk92 pkg, and when I tried to install Nvidia drivers I got forced to install 10.5.2 drivers (90Mb approx.), I thought, oK lets try...and surprisingly I solved 2 problems: Leo recognized my new card and fully working and dissapeared the booting issues as described in previous posts. I'm telling you this, because I know you're planning to publish a new release so it will be nice to consider some drivers from Punk. Source: http://www.mediafire.com/?e1ncyveedim

Best Regards
