Okay, here is my problem, no panic's/boot problems before the installation program, when I'm in the installation program I can select everything I want and the install goes fine but after the install I gives me an error:

Install couldn't be completed because the disk is ok(or something like that)

But the blue moving thing was already on his end...

My specs:

Intel Celeron D 3,06GHz

1,25GB DDR-400 Ram

40GB IDE Maxtor HFS+ (just for mac no other partitions)

ATi HD 2600 Pro 512MB

Azalia Audio

I am working on fixing the PS2 controller thing. I am trying to find a solid working version for ACPIPlatform version 1.0.3, if you want to change to 1.1.0 I can provide working files.

On the plus side, I have X11 working again so it will be included with next release. Was having some issues with it before for some reason, so I removed it.

No more SUID errors, all updates short of Safari and Airport included. Safari wants to update even though it was applied and it shows the correct version. It has me baffled a bit at the moment.

Hi Guys. I'm working on a new computer for a friend. It's an Intel Core2Duo. Asus P5B. Intel P965 / ICH8. JMicron disabled in BIOS.

DVD boots fine. Created the partitions fine. Installs fine. Eject the DVD and it boots in Verbose mode loads lots of kexts just like normal, then right after it switches to the smaller text, it stops and says 'waiting for root device' (or something similar) Any ideas? Leo4All rev2. Using SATA DVD and SATA Hard drive.

Thanks!

Hi guys. Well, everything's still working beautifully for me but the sound. I've tried 5 different kexts to far.

-> The Azalia package that came with Leo4all;

-> the "stac9227" testing that worked well according to this guy, at the bottom of this page:

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...2989&st=840

-> the one at post # 887 of this thread, also - AzaliaAudio.pkg.zip

-> and both of these, from post # 895 of this thread:

Every install seemed to go smoothly. But after rebooting, I was not able to see a "sound" device in my osx "system preferences" window.

The motherboard audio works fine when I use a Windows XP on the same box.

I also have an M-Audio Firewire 1814 audio interface; this also works fine in XP but not in Leo4All after it's been fully installed - but at least I see it as an option in osx "system preferences."

Am I installing the kexts wrong? I'm using Kext helper with all the defaults...do I then have to enable them as extensions? Or change permissions? Or should I be uninstalling previous kexts before I install new ones, or is there some other step I'm missing?

According to my motherboards' specs, it's set up for a Realtex AL662 codec.

Thanks all of you for your help. Very happy to post complete knowledge for my board everywhere, once 'tis working.

I assume the M-Audio device takes priority for you. Therefore, I'd recommend you take a look here:

http://www.m-audio.com/news/en_us-1154.html

Try disabling the integrated audio within your bios if the option is present.

Otherwise try removing the M-Audio, enabling integrated sound within the bios and reinstalling the .pkgs/.kexts you have.

Use kext helper to install and try using extension repair before reboot.

Audio working fine too? Your board is the same series as mine, but the only audio specs I could find for your board say "Intel® High Definition Audio".

And have you connected any firewire devices? Just curious...

You need the modified ATI kext to fix the white menu bars. Check out netkas.org or look around on these forums for it.

Yes audio is working fine. I don't have any firewire devices. Tomorrow I'm getting a buddies firewire dv cam and I'm going to try it out.

Hi eddie, I'm back again...

I'm having booting problems...if I don't turn PC off and unplug it from AC, I get error messages as:

Calibration failed or waiting for root device

Even if I boot with -v and sometimes I need to do it more than once to boot... :P

How can I correct this?

Thanks in advance

Firstly, how do I get the dvd image?

Secondly: I have never done this, but want OSX on my x86 PC and/or laptop.

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1720 with the following specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo ghz 800mhz fsb

4gb ram 667mhz

Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT 256MB GDDR2 Dedicated Graphics Memory (Apparently can reach 512MB with 256 of it shared)

160GB hdd (I would buy a second 160GB to get Vista + Ubuntu + Mac to work nicely together)

Intel Pro/Wireless 3945 a/g

Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Module

and my Desktop PC is a little bit worse (custom built)

Intel Celeron D 2.66ghz (single core, 64bit capable),

Asus motherboard

1GB Ram

Asus DVD/CD RW

Nvidia Geforce 7100GS 256MB (64mb onboard, rest shared with ram)

I would just like to know whether OSX86 will likely work on my two systems.

Try removing the old kexts from /Systems/Library/Extensions and the Extentions.kexts from the /Systems/Library folder before installing new ones.

Hi Guys,

I have tried to search the forums for a solution and have not found one yet.

I am able to succesfully install Leo4allv2 onto a Kn1 Extreme motherboard (AMD) with full Sound / Lan working OOB.

I have been trying to make a disk image (or use time machine) to practice restoring my system from a "fresh" install point in case I ever need to.

So far I am able to restore to primary HD partition using either Time Machine or a Disk image after I use the DVD to boot up into installer.

Once complete, I try to boot off that partition and get nothing but a blinking cursor.

I have also tried some fdisk commands (to mark partition active) and I have gotten B0 once or twice, but nothing farther than that.

Doing some research I think that time machine and superduper! do not back up the boot loader / patched AMD kernal or EFI.

If that is the case, is there a way to restore this to my primary partition and make it bootable again?

I have also tested booting up the DVD and under boot options rd=diskXsY (primary partition) and it boots up my restored image just fine.

Here are my system specs

Motherboard: ECS Kn1 Extreme

CPU TYPE: AMD 64 3700+

Memory: 1 GB

Bus Speed: 200 Mhz

Audio Onboard: AC97

Graphics/Displays: GeForce 6600 GT

Hard Drives: 80 Gig WD PATA

Firewire: Firewire 400 & USB 2.0 builtin

Thanks for any help!
