Magicum
Guys im still having issues installing this, I have a dell inspiron 6000 laptop which has Intel centrino m & 2gb ram, I tried looking on the wiki but cant see if its compatibility or not. First I get the error: failed to load org.tgwbd.driver.ACPIPS2nub.Hm, I had the same ACPIPS2nub failed to load both with Leo4All and Leo4All v2. However the further installation was normally run.Anybody know what this is?? It will then continue the install and I get to customise my install etc, im using all the default values by the way. Then it gets to verifying the DVD which I skip and then it gives me the error "the installer could not locate the data it needed to install the software, check your install media" I have burned the iso again at 2x but still get the same thing, im using Nero on a pc and was wondering could that be the cause??I skipping DVD verifying and it runs ok then. Regarding the quality of burning installation DVD: one my friend tried 3 times to burn it using various software and settings on his laptop and all 3 times disk was broken. Only after using external hi-quality dvd burner he got a success. Not sure that it's your case, but you can try at least. In my turn I am highly interested in my issue with ATI SB450 ATA Controller
teto90
Hm, I had the same ACPIPS2nub failed to load both with Leo4All and Leo4All v2. However the further installation was normally run. how can I continue the installation? I think my computer crashes a short time after that, but I'm not sure... Maybe I have to wait a long time?! EDIT: Ok... I think I've got some more problems. I copied something (maybe) interesting: failed to load extension org.tgwbt.driver.ACPIPS2nub ... Magicum
Apple16X50ACPI1: Identified Serial Port on ACPI Device=UAR1Hmmm.... If I was you, I'd tried to turn off all COM, LPT, PS/2 devices/controllers in BIOS if it's possible.Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleOnboardPCATA"And this may have a reference to my trouble. Cause I haven't this string while installing but I should I think. What is your chipset specs? And coming back to my issue. Installed Leo4All v2. All is ok, system boots up.Even I've installed it natively from internal DVD drive, made it Secondary Master instead of Slave.Wifi is working out of the box. =)But still can't fix the trouble with extremely slow working with my HDD (IDE ATA Controller ATI SB450). I've seen the solution for 10.4.x version here from Zappadoc. But I am not sure that this will work at 10.5.2 so I need an advice.== ADDED ==Applied Zappadoc's solution. It becomes some better (I think + 15-20% of disk performance) but still slow. Booting ~7-10 minutes, shutdown ~10-20 minutes. Safari launches in 8-10 minutes.== ADDED ==Possibly (just suggestion) that now, being patched, the speed is ok, but HDD continuously going to sleep mode or just powered off after each operation. Not sure, but who knows.

BB88
Thanks Eddie for compiling this! However, I have problem installing this on a older P4 (Northwood) system. It supports at least SSE2, but I couldn't confirm if it is SSE3 compatible. When I boot from the DVD, it keeps reboot after showing a quick blink of message of "EFI....ToH' "SMIBIOS....." I believe it's because of the EFI thing. What is the best way to get around this, except upgrading?
hzt
When you partitioned the external disk, did you set it for MBR or GPT? The default partition format is APM which is not supported. Boot off the DVD and confirm the partition scheme. mbr

gurukool
Hi gurokool! :-)Although, i havent been able to have a succesful leo installation yet, but ihope i will be able to help you with the dual booting. i have my system running with VISTA, UBUNTU and "still yet to function" Leo (hehehehehe). You can use the Live CD of Ubuntu (download it here). By fixing the boot sequence of Vista (flag it to Boot in the Ubuntu's partition manager).after that, boot vista.when ur in vista, instal EasyBD, and try to fix it through miscellaneous recovery. or you can try to put my attached file into your c:\nst folder.I hope this thing helps, so you can fix your booting problem. As for me, i was able to boot 3 OSes. but 1 "still to fix OS- leopard". Ironic. hehehehe. I used it also. but still, i get the same message after loading. :-(is there anything i can do to turn off the firewire? i tried looking at my bios, but sad to say, when it's a laptop, limited bios options :-( Thanks emaildepot, I was finally able to get the Dual boot working(although could login to Leo coz of other issues... )Not sure why but I had to make leo partition active in windows expilicitly thru partition magic to get it working. I had formatted it initially as Fat32 and primary and made it active using terminal commands in leo but that didn't work...but when i made it active thru partition magic and added an entry in EasyBCD...it worked like a charm...now just need to figure out why it is stopping at "waiting for root device". Magicum
Sorry this is the problem with AppleOnboardPCATA, but I don't know of another way to get IDE/PATA support. SATA support comes from AppleVIAATA so the speeds should be good there.Yes, it seems to be so. But ny notebook has only IDE/PATA interfaces, no SATA. I heard that Tiger could work with my shipset, that's why I hoped that Leopard also can. Will keep trying to make it alive. Btw, some stranges. In Leo4All there was VIAATA kext which was loaded during boot and showed some device(s) looked like my IDE Controller. However, in Leo4All there is no this kext and also OnboardPCATA too. Very strange.Yes, I applied that patch with AppleOnboardPCATA.kext published at SATA\IDE Controllers thread. It really became better, but still low as death =)Anyway I will keep trying to fix it, cause Leo4all is actually great compilation I am sure.I forgot, which chipset and what Device ID do you have? oxyigen
Yap... mine would say file missing, if I just go with the default options. THen if i unselect everything, it will install but just keep on crashing, couldn't even get into MacOS.

As I know it's better to create partition for Mac OS using Acronis Disk Director Suite, initially made as FAT32, and then manually change it's type to "0AFh ShagOS swap". Then in Disk Utility (when you install Leopard) Erase this partition. I did this way and it was ok.

Magicum
Some notes: After applying Zappadoc's patching I have AppleOnboardPCATA loaded during boot and there are 2 strings as: AppleATIIXPATA: ATI SB450 (CMD 0x1f0, CTR 0x3f4, IRQ 14, BM 0xf800) in system.log which means as I see 2 channels of IDE Controller. Now it's a little faster than after just install the Leo, however still catastrofic slow.

eddie11c
You will have to flag your Vista partition active again. Then use the bootloader in Vista to load into Leopard. You can search around for the instructions to do so. They have been posted thousands of times already.
asoftlad
Eddie, Many thanks for a great release!! Yours is the third I've tried and by far the most stable on my budget system which is a toshiba equium A100-147 (Rebranded satellite 150) I've found and successfully installed all the drivers I need, I'm at the last hurdle but i have one problem left: the trackpad/keyboard freezes once booted (couldnt alloc class: ACPIPS2Nub) I've tried your fix from the wiki and the unusual thing is on my vanilla kernel only the patched kernel fix from this package works and that's only when i force the drivers at boot (-f) Power management works great though! Is there another solution to the keyboard/trackpad issue? It may be worth noting that this 'wasnt an issue on the Kal..10.5.1 release, trying to swap the ACPIPlatform.kext from that release causes a kernel panic. Apologies if this has been covered before and I've missed it... Thanks again for a great package! eddie11c
That BIOS error sounds like IDE Legacy or something. Take a look in your BIOS and let me know what kind of options you have for your chipset/IDE/SATA.
Mamas
Hello all. I tried that hackintosh version, it works great for me. With vanilla 9.2.2, and nvidia 256 drivers. My PC: Intel DP35DP mobo Intel Q6600 CPU 4 GB Kingston RAM SATA DVD-RW SATA HDD's (set up in IDE mode) gigabyte geforce 8600GTS video card. (selected video kexts and 256 mb driver) Problems: Integrated LAN does not work. Integrated Audio does not work. Biggest problem: When I insert Pentagram LAN card (Realtek RTL8139D chipset), the setup dont even boot up. It stucks just before Leo4All (with yelow apple) window showing up and HDD shows no activity. if i remember, its aprohemately after line: "RAIDserver not responding" could mount /dev/ ..." or smth like that. But when I remove that LAN card, setup goes just great. Any suggestions how to make that standard Realtek LAN card work with this release?? because I like it very much! Its simple, and not stuffed with {censored} and non-wanted settings like other hackintosh releases. eddie11c: if you are reading my post, and if you'll do something , you should know, that THAT LAN card works with Kalyway's 10.5.1 version in install. It installs normally even if the LAN cad is inserted and LAN card WORKS! Could you insert some settings from kalyway release to yours or smth, that could make Leo4All work with Realtek LAn card, which is the only way to connect in hackintosh world... I hope You understood me. Looking forward to Your reply. Thank You! Buy the way, witch chipset driver should I choose?? If I remember i chose ICHx fixed IOATAFamily.kext - did I choose right? Ones i didnt vhoose any, and if i remember well it stuck after installation after reboot window. So we must to choose chipset driver?
