There is a limit to 2 AHCI drives currently, but with the next update I am working on it should fix that. The new AHCI kext's cyclonefr posted adds improved AHCI support. If you don't have AHCI enabled you will be fine with more than 2 though. I have fixed a bunch of Device ID's and added some kext's in the last day so hopefully the next update will be the last for me. I am currently rebuilding all the base files to hopefully get rid of those annoying SUID errors people complain about. This will also free just enough room so I can add the extensions folder. I have added the new 9.2.2 modified kernel also. I just have to test out a few more things before I finalize it.

Hi,

I was able to Log on to Leopard Using a external HDD. I installed it in my Laptop drive but it again got stuck at "waiting for root device". I cloned the Leopard on to a external HD using Acronis Director and was able to log in to that. My wireless is working and I managed to get the sound working using AppleHDA. Need to get the resolution working too now and sleep if possible....

1)Still Not able to Dual boot with Vista. :thanks_speechbubble: ...although not sure if i was able to..then i would be able to log in to leo...So for Now its External HDD for me... :D .....

2) One More thing, when i log back in Vista after I have logged out of Leo...my Vista Time is changed by 4 hrs....i mean it says 6:00 PM at 2:00....anybody knows why???? :thanks_speechbubble::thanks_speechbubble:

Working on the getting the rest of Leo right...

Eddie, Thanks a bunch for all your efforts on this release...

If you get that error about unable to find files, it is most likely a bad DVD. Try again burning at a lower speed or with a different program.

Gurukool I have went over all the kext's and added as much compatibility as I can for now. If you can, just wait till I finish this update before you migrate to your internal drive. I still need to rebuild some of the driver packages, but have to finish a few other things first.

Try disabling your network card in the BIOS and maybe any extra power options/USB options.

I tdid disable everything in BIOS, but, again no luck! I got another error!

Maybe i should remove some kext, but i don't know what starts that problem...

Yeah Sure Eddie,

I still have a fix a few things on my external drive...before I migrate to Internal for now...

Take your time to work on the next more compatible release... :P

Ok try this, boot from darwin with -s for single user mode.

Then type this:

/sbin/fsck -fy

If it found something to repair you will have to repeat it until no errors are found and it says your drive is ok.

/sbin/mount -uw /
rm -R /system/library/extensions.mkext
rm -R /system/library/extensions/AppleHWSensor.kext (this should have been removed during install but to be safe)
exit

Hi All,

Here is the photo of where I get stuck on during the installation. After I clicked any key, it takes me into the black screen with text and ended here. Can someone advise me on what to do? Thank you!

Hi,

I also got that error but it went past it after waiting for 5-10 mins....did you wait or restarted you install...could you see if waiting might help...and also remember to burn your DVD at 2X or 4x.....Not sure how but it certainly helps....burned quite a few "Coasters" coz of that... :)

Tank's man, it worked!

I need help to patch my system!

hey, cpus=1 worked thanx! but now i have another problem.... How can i get SATA and LAN to work on my EvGa nForce 680i Mobo? ive tried nvinject and AppleNForceATA.kext, but NForceATA didnt work, it came up saying this extension couldnt be installed even after i did, chmod -R 755 /system/Library/Extensions/AppleNForceATA.kext and chown -R root:whell /system/Library/Extensions/AppleNForceATA.kext. And all the nvinject did was mess up my boot so i had to reformat and reinstall Leo4All..So can someone help me get SATA and LAN working on my EvGa 680i?

footsie what happens after you install with nothing? I include JMicron controller by default, and can give you the updated IntelPIIXATA to install manually. But if it is writing to your drive ok this would be an easy fix. Its a matter of what happens after you install. Does it not boot at all? Is this a partition of a drive with Wndows? Or a completely seperate Drive? I have read about some people having some I/O errors that was fixed with changing the IDE cable froma 40pin to an 80pin type.

..hi eddie!

..thanks for ur reply...after i finished installing without selecting any custom option, it boots normally by selectiong boot on external hardrive in bios (installed on external western digital 250gb passport, not windows partition), mouse and keyboard ok...no sound, no option to change resolution (1024 only), no internet...

...how do i install the updated INTELPIIXATA?

..THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Open up system profiler and click on extensions and tell me what version of ACPIPlatform is loaded.

Hi,

Any Ideas why my System Time gets changed for Vista after i have logged out of Leo from Ext. HDD. Not a big issue but I am constantly loggin in and out of Leo and have to change the time in Vista everytime...Has this something to do with Leo :) ...It always shows the correct system time...

Any ideas?

Hi Eddie.

Great release. I have successfully installed Leo4Allv2 on an ASUS P5LD2-VM DH, C2D setup with full sound, GMA950 video and Ethernet in one pass. I am using GUID partitioning, vanilla 9.2.2 kernel and the EFI bootloader. I have my BIOS set to use AHCI.

A couple of quick post-install questions...

I installed the ICH9/Marvell chip support (I have ICH7). Did I need to (your instructions say to pick one)?

Same question for the GMA950 support. Do I need to select it or can I do EFI GFX?

Last question: After installation, all of the normally hidden *NIX directories at the root of my drive are visible in the Finder. Do you suspect that a "lockdown" script failed to run at the end of my installation? Any quick way to hide all this stuff again (plist setting?) instead of chmod, etc?

Thanks

When you partitioned the external disk, did you set it for MBR or GPT? The default partition format is APM which is not supported. Boot off the DVD and confirm the partition scheme.

Installed Leo4All v2. All is ok, system boots up.

Even I've installed it natively from internal DVD drive, made it Secondary Master instead of Slave.

Wifi is working out of the box. =)

But still can't fix the trouble with extremely slow working with my HDD (IDE ATA Controller ATI SB450). I've seen the solution for 10.4.x version here from Zappadoc. But I am not sure that this will work at 10.5.2 so I need an advice.

== ADDED ==

Applied Zappadoc's solution. It becomes some better (I think + 15-20% of disk performance) but still slow. Booting ~7-10 minutes, shutdown ~10-20 minutes. Safari launches in 8-10 minutes.

Guys im still having issues installing this, I have a dell inspiron 6000 laptop which has Intel centrino m & 2gb ram, I tried looking on the wiki but cant see if its compatibility or not. First I get the error: failed to load org.tgwbd.driver.ACPIPS2nub. Anybody know what this is?? It will then continue the install and I get to customise my install etc, im using all the default values by the way. Then it gets to verifying the DVD which I skip and then it gives me the error "the installer could not locate the data it needed to install the software, check your install media" I have burned the iso again at 2x but still get the same thing, im using Nero on a pc and was wondering could that be the cause??
