I see the argument -v in the boot plist ... I want the normal standard one ... which argument should I replace this with?

Just remove the -v from the com.apple.Boot.plist.

I that case the IDE controller has

Hardware ID PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_438C&SUBSYS_01F51028&REV_00

Ok I added this to the PATA portion.

when i adjust a users resolution i get a blue screen and a cursor and every time i log in to that user i get the same deal login as a guest or an admin (i havent changed the resolution with them) everything is fine

Any clue how to fix this? Some people i think report it as the system freezes once logged in

Not sure what your problem is, it sounds like some kind of video problem. I think it is unrelated to my release.

After re-download I managed to install it on P5N32 SLI Premium.

I can see network controllers in System profiler but cant connect to my ADSL modem. I used drivers provided on installation disc.

Soundcard isnt working. I used drivers provided on installation disc.

Grpahic card isnt working. I used drivers provided on installation disc. System crashed so I removed video.

This is report of my installation and I will continue to work on it but i need to fix network cause of my internet connection so I could do it from leo...

If someone can point me to the drivers I could realy use will be more then helpful.....

thank you for your great work, Eddie!:-)

All seems to be fine on my machine:

Asus A8N32Sli-Deluxe

Amd Athlon 64 X2 4200+

2GB Ram

Nvidia 7900 GTO

But i Have a problem with my USB port.

Is there a special .kext File I have to install or just another workaround?

Thank you!

USB should be working normally, I know of no issues with regular USB. If it is not working for you then it is something else with your hardware.

Does this mean i can't Leo4All now??/ :):D .....Is there a way around????? :P ..TIA
I am working on an easy way, or relatively easy way to correct this. I won't have much time to work on it today though.

Graphics is on you, I can't get every combination to work. There is not enough room to include so many options>Soundcard is the same.Network is probably not going to work. The Nforce LAN sucks, and you have the Gig version. I don't even know if there are drivers that work with it.

Are you trying to install through VMWare?

Nope, i didn't use VMWare.

its through the DVD. fresh installation.

I just reformatted my hdd again... for the nth time. hehehehe...

and just installed vista so i can use it again. Later, i will try to install the leo4all again

i won't just give up on it easily. :-)

What do u suggest i do? repartition everything through leopard? would be leo 1st then install vista? or vista first before leo?

Thanks! :-) More power to you!

eddie - Many thanks for an awesome release! Your v2 bits installed without any major issues, and I have a fully patched 10.5.2 installation for the first time. Everything worked out of the box, save the well known issue with logining on to machines within my local network. I applied the Share patch, and everything works great...

Ok for those with the PS2 keyboard issue, can you try deleting PS2Trackpad and PS2Mouse from your PS2Controller.kext(make a backup first)? I am currently using a USB>PS2 adapter for my keyboard and it seems to be working fine without loading with -f. With those other 2 PS2 files it would not work at all.

This is the only release I've been able to get working straight away. I'm using the version 2 release. About my machine - a HP Laptop nx9420.

Here's what worked for me - I used the disk utility to partition the hard disk into 3 partitions. The second partition I formatted for the Leo4All install. I didn't install any additional drivers, just used the standard kernel. I have to use boot options to do a cpus=1 on boot (I have practically no options in the bios and couldn't see how to fix this that way), it booted fine. Then I added the graphics drivers for my ATI X1600 mobility card - I did a search on this forum and found that there was an installer package. It worked straight out of the installer for me. Rebooted, I now have native resolution. Then I added sound drivers - searched for my device again on this forum and found the appropriate kext. Next problem was getting the ethernet drivers to work - I had the old black screen of death issue on diskutility repair permissions - that was repaired by booting from the Leo4All disc and running repair in diskutility there. That seemed to fix the detection of my ethernet port - except it does not detect the correct MAC address (the old zero address problem) so my router wouldn't issue an IP address - got round this by manually adding the zero MAC address into my router config to assign a fixed IP address to the card.

So to sum up, I have a working Leopard with video, sound and ethernet LAN on my nx9420 laptop. Next I installed MS Vista onto the first partition of the disk and then installed EasyBCD - it recognised the MAC OS partition straight away, so I now have dual boot Vista/Leopard.

Really pleased with it so far. Thanks for a great install :(

(my first post)

Hi eddie,

Thanks for a great release. Like many others have said, it is one of the only one's they've gotten to boot an install properly.

My situation is: I was able to get Leo4Allv1 w/ PPF1 installed with the Darwin Bootloader. I once tried PC_EFI_v8, and that ended up in a reboot loop. So, I stuck with straight Darwin. I did something to mess up the good install while trying to back it up using Disk Utility. So, I thought I'd try Leo4Allv2. However, it doesn't seem like there is an option for Darwin w/o EFI-PC. Is this true? I tried to install it and wound up in a reboot loop. Is there any way to remove EFI-PC after the intall? Is PC-EFI known to not work on some configurations?

My Specs:

Motherboard: MSI nForce 430, AMD Socket 939

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+

Audio: ALC880 (working with Azalia)

LAN: Onboard doesn't work, using USB->LAN Netgear FA120

Video: NVIDIA 8400GS HDMI/DVI

- Using DVI output, 1280x720 QE/CI on my 56" Sammy DLP

- Had to fix strings in the NVIDIA kexts

- Onboard 6150 disabled

Thanks for your help and your great work!

Mike

Ok I am looking for a couple volunteers to test a different Extensions.mkext to see if they get past the dreaded "waiting for root device". If you are one of those and know how to replace files in the ISO please speak up.

I'll test them for you, is this only for the "waiting for root device", or for the nForce fix as well? I didn't get "waiting for root device", but I can test the nForce fix though.
