Jezz
Really? Tried Tiger, no luck, they said in IRC that it was because of the IDE DVD drive. I mean the DVD drive is IDE, the normal hd is Sata, so i hope this one works, gonna burn it then Good job with the release, wish me luck
Snerler
Jezz - Most people's DVD drives are still IDE so that should not be a problem. But if you have an NForce4 motherboard or something similar the problem might be that you cannot boot from an SATA hard drive. Im having a problem with Ethernet. It works on the first boot, but then stops working after I reboot. I reinstalled a few times and the same thing happens. I have the NForce4 network controller. How can i solve this? Jezz
No luck, apple.com.boot.plist not found error, yes i changed sata configuration to AHCI Im a bit of newbie with the whole x86, but i researched a bit, could it be that i am not install any release because of the Jmicron controller(Asus P5B)? Hey Eddie, Thanks for your explanation. I did not install the extra applications, I just installed the main and necessary components. However, I downloaded a trial version of BBEdit and removed the line of code you told me, and now the bootscreen appears. That's what I wanted. Thanks alot again. Keep up the good work. Lastly, I have another question. My video card is nVidia GeForce 6100 (Integrated) and although I see everything right, I can't change resolution. It's currently set at 1024 x 768, but I want the native resolution of my monitor (1440 x 900). So, I've searched and it seems this card is currently incompatible. Is there a way to increase the resolution? If not, what video card do you recommend me that will work 100% with your release?

eddie11c
I added this on the other thread figure I would post here too. If you are having PS2 keyboard issues please try this installer it also has the PowerManagement bundle for laptops. You can install just that if your keyboard is working fine. Nucleus
Computer Spec [related to HDD] Model name - [Laptop] Samsung Sens R20 Plus HDD - 120GB SATA HDD Chipset - ATI 690G [southbridge Chipset(SATA HDD Controller) = SB600] CPU = Core2Duo T7100 [Mobile Processor] [Just like the Conroe] Hey guys I have tried to install with Leo4allv2 justnow. First time that I tried to boot into leo4allv2 DVD, I saw the error "Still wating for root device". So I tried to boot with "-v -f" option but the DVD still showed me same error. I entered CMOS set then changed the value named "Large disk access mode", from [DOS] to [Others]. After do this, I tried to boot again but It showed me same error again. So, I tried to boot with "-v -f" again. Then, Finally, I suceeded to enter install screen. However, even if I can see the install screen, there is one more problem. The DVD cannot mount the Partition that I want to install the Leo. It recognizes the HDD and all the partitions. But, Leo4allv2 is not able to mount the partition although the partition is HFS+ or FAT (FAT32). Recognizing my HDD means the DVD contains SB600 driver because the DVDs with out SB600 is not able to recognize my HDD. Aren't there any solutions? Help me Thanks

aku
Dear Eddie, i'm having a hp pavilion laptop (dv6502au~dv6500z)(AMD Turion X2 Tl-56) Its having a gForce 7150m, nForce 630m chipset (mcp61m) with a sata harddisk. Do you think your flavor of leo4all v2 will work on my lappy? (If it's going to be possible by the injection of a few kext in the dvd, can you tell me which kexts do i need for my hardware?) Thanking You in advance
neoanderthal
Just a quick note - Installed Leo4All-10.5.2 on a Lenovo Thinkpad T61 (2686 57U ) - display works great - keyboard, trackpad, network, and sound don't. I poked around in the extensions, and noticed that no PS2 extensions were to be found, which is no doubt why the keyboard's not working. I'll play around with it some more and see if I can figure out what's up. I'm also curious as to whether anyone's had any luck getting this installed on an AMD 690-series chipset? I'm probably going to try installing this on my pc when I get home, and I'll see what happens.

I have no idea if that chipset is supported with the NforceATA kext. I am working on an alternative for some other Nforce boards that need VIAATA instead, in case you fall into that group. Odice
Hi there, this is my first time trying to install Leopard on a pc. When i boot the disk and it goes to the black screen, it gives a lot of texts, and an error, im not sure what it is, but i think it could be that the installer doesn´t recognizes my Discs. Both of them are ATA. Some of the lines i get are: AppleNVIDIAnForceATA: NVidia CK8s IDE disk2s2: I/O Error HFS_mountroot failed: 5 panic(cpu 0 caller somecodehere) "nsf_boot_init, morething here". My specs: - Chaintech VNf4 Ultra Motherboard (Nforce 4 Ultra Chip Based) - Cpu AMD64 3000+ In a 939 Slot. - 2 Ata Hard Disk (1 With Windows 2 partitions (80gb), The second is free (20gb) i just deleted all the partitions and set the space free to install leopard there). - Ati Radeon X700pro Videocard - 512mb Ram PD: I Checked the MD5 checksum of the ISO and it was fine, and i burned the DVD at 4x speed (the lowest) with verification (it was ok too). I hope u can help me, thanks =)
