...does it mean i have to download the whole torrent again? why do i get a corrupt file?

..regarding the ".nfo" file, do i have to include it when burning the iso?

..thanks again!

No that just has some useful information, not that anyone bothers to read it. Did you check the MD5 checksum of the ISO? You may just want to try burning again at a lower speed or with another program. Windows has issues burning Leopard for some reason. I can burn a copy in Leopard at max speed without ever getting a failure.

..any ideas? suggestions?

..thanks

That is not an error that will stop anything from working, I just forgot a copy of an extensions that has a dependency with another version of ACPIPlatform/APIC.

I'm sorry to bring this up again eddie, but I fear you might have missed it. Connecting to the internet appears to be my only remaining problem... and after all these days work I'm worried that I may have come to a roadblock at the very end. :(

In the "Network" menu of the System Preferences? Under "Configure: Manually"? Every time I enter information and click "Apply", it reverts back to "Configure: Off". :(

EDIT: Also- I've attempted to use the search on this forum, but it gives me errors... in French for some odd reason, stating that "Erreur Sphinx : expected searchd protocol version 1+, got version '0'". Sorry again...

Hi eddie,

i´m downloading the Leo4Allv2 last night.

the install went fine but for 2 hours (no problem i can wait!)

after the install without graphic driver and network driver (the AC97 works perfekt) the system is very slowly...why???

(First i thought my internal HD is damaged and i install it on an external HD...but the same effect)

My Computer is a HP Notebook ZV5388 with Nvidia GeForce 440 Go 64MB; 60GB HD; 1,2 GB Memory; and AMD64 3200+ (2000 Mhz.)

I installed the Nvidia Installer for Notebooks from Zeph. but no Resolution changeable.

Any Idea how the system is so slowly? Thanx for your great work! (the dvd install fine on another Desktop Computer!)

Greetings

Martin from Germany

i used nvinject 512mb ram kexts to let GPU working, but i can't go up from 1024x768 resolution on my 20" Dell wide lcd.

obviously no audio from x-fi. :-P

thanks Eddie.

eddie11c, first of all thanks for the release.

Anyway I have got some issues. I tried to search and look through the forum but haven't find the answers.

So I installed Leo v2 iso vanilla kernel to Fat32 logical partition on my hdd wich has the ntfs primary partition with installed Windows XP SP2. I turned on AHCI mode for the only WD sata drive I have. The rest configuration is the following: Intel quad core Q6600, mb: gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 rev 2.1, sata dvd drive. During the installation I have formated fat32 partition using the disk utility (sorry I can remember what option i have choosed there)

The installation itself went smoothly, but at the end it rebooted without my confirmation which I supposed to be given at the end. After that the Leo loaded I entered the details (created account) and that's it Loepard at his best.

Now the negative part, I rebooted PC and changed the boot source to hdd (actually I wanted to change this setting after I recieve confirmation at the end of the installation, but since it rebooted automatically I have had this change).

And you know I have got the damn message that I need to insert system or boot disk (something like that) anyway since my installation cd was inside I clicked enter and then after 8 seconds Loe loaded.

I decided to play with the boot. I was hoping that I would be able to run windows xp but unfortunately clicking F8 didn't help.

So the case is that right now Leo won't load wihtout cd and I have lost windows.

Please advise! What have I done incorrectly? Maybe the main issue is the installing leo to logical partiotion not primary?

If yes, can someone confirm that after installing to primary partition I would be able to run Windows Xp.

Thanks in advance for any advices, comments, suggestions.

p.s. sorry for my {censored} english, especially the sequences of tenses lol

btw I fell in love with Leo, I am going to buy mac book i guess ;)

You made a FAT32 partition for Leopard? You need to make an HFS+ partition. Turn off AHCI before installing also, it can cause some problems.

Nothing was left out, just 2 copies of a file were left in. ACPIPS2Nub and AppleACPIPS2Nub, they do the same thing but have different names since they depend on different versions of ACPIPlatform. I just forgot to delete one of them, but it won't hurt anything.

I prepared fat32 partition in windows and then formated it during the installation using Disk Utility.

Edit: btw there is an opinion on one of the Russian local forums that Leo should be installed strictly on primary partition to avoid issues.

When ever I try Apple Menu > Go > Connect to Server, I type in the the correct server IP address, and I get a pop-up box that says:

"The text entered does not appear to be a recognized URL format.

URLs should begin with afp://, at://, file://, etc."

I just found the same problem. I am surprised that more people haven't noticed this or maybe they are all installing on their one & only computer & have no server to connect to:-)

There is an error in a symbolic link /System/Library/Filesystems/afpfs.fs You can check this from Terminal with this command:-

ls -l /System/Library/Filesystems/afpfs.fs

If it shows something like this then there is a problem as the link should be to /System not just System:-

lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 49 Mar 25 12:22 /System/Library/Filesystems/afpfs.fs -> System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpfs.kext

To fix this in Terminal enter these commands

sudo rm /System/Library/Filesystems/afpfs.fs

sudo ln -s /System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpfs.kext /System/Library/Filesystems/afpfs.f

Before each command executes you will be prompted for your password.

I had a look inside the packages on the Leo4ALLV2 disk & the error is present there so I guess that it's something for Eddie to fix for V3 plus add to the Known Issues http://osx86leo4all.wikidot.com/known-issues

HI eddie11c,

first: thx for your work!!!

i have installed iatkos dvd on my hackintosh and it runs really well. but my 8800 gts 512 runs not half as fast as it should even if QE/CI is enabled. Could you please tell me which results you get with your gts in xbench to find out if mine is really so much slower as i suppose.

Yes if there is a bootloader present, the EFI installer will not overwrite it.

I would need to know what kind of kernel panic you are getting first, maybe it is somehow related.

Eddie,

I got Leo4ALLV2 to install and boot last night!

The good: Runs fast, internet works great, ALC888 Sound works even though when I look in the system profiler and click on on board sound it says "no on board sound)

The Bad: I used the driver in the install that said it supported the Nvidia 7XXX series ( I have the 7300 GT) but I can only select 1024x768 for resolution.

If I let Leo sit for an hour and then come back and try to launch anything on the dock I get the spinning wheel and my hard drive light comes on but it just sits there forever like it doesnt want to wake up.

When I try to shutdown or restart I get the following screen:

Picture036.jpg

Also, what MPS setting should I use in my bios, 1.1 or 1.4?

ACPI & PC2001 compliant enhanced power management is enabled currently.

SVM Support is enabled (whatever this is??)

SVM (Secure Virtual Machine) technology provides a set of hardware extensions

designed to enable economical and efficient implementation of virtual machine

systems. Generally speaking, hardware support falls into two complementary

categories: virtualization support and security support. Not all

porcessors support SVM.

ACPI is set to S3

Thanks Eddie.

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately, this version is no go for me :) (all 3 of them: Leo4All,v1, v2)

I tried it on my desktop computer (AMD 500+ x2 BE, DFI infinity am2 nf4 ultra , gigabyte ati 3850, 2x1gb crucial ballistix, 320gb seagete sata2...) and when I come to the ''choose disk to install'' the installer cannot find my disc. I have acronis boot loader with xp and vista already installed, and I prepared a primary FAT32 partition for Leopard. Tried running disk utility but I could not format the disk (actually I could, but it could not be mounted and the installer again did not recognized it). Runnig First Aid did not help either, I couldnt mount the partition to FAT32 or Mac extended & journaled.

This is wierd because almost every other Leo version recognizes my disc (although i did not succed to install them either, they stop during the installation with the message that Leo could not be installed on my computer/disk).

I removed my sata disk and put old maxtor 20gb pata disk in, formatted whole disk to FAT32 primary, active partition, but the result was the same :(

I have the same problem with my HP6820s (xp installed, acronis boot loader with prepared primary partition for Leo).

Can anyone help me or advise me?

Thanx in advance, and a special thanks to eddie, I really hoped this one would work for me :(

Try using terminal and type fdisk -d and then load disk utility and right click on your drive you want Leo on and click erase and set it to Mac extended journal. Make sure it is set to MBR also and make sure you name the drive something that is only one word like "osx"

Buy a PS/2 to USB adapter for both and this should fix your problem.
