mike73059
w/ the bios on this system i cant select which drive to boot. Its just HDD Boot. and Easy BCD wont detect the drive nor will acronis os selector. ive looked through just about all of this website and decided i needed a little more personal help. i cant do much with command line editing cause if i get to the point where the vista boot is damage and i need the vista disk to repair it. i cant. OEM installation and no vista disk. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91243-booting-issues-w-kalyway/#findComment-651057 Share on other sites
marliwahoo
OK your drive is partitioned - not two drives - it's a laptop - sorry I missed that. You can not choose boot partitions in the bios. BE WARNED - There is a good chance you will loose everything on you hd if you continue. It is surly possible to get dual booting right and keeping your windows installation working. However, the chances are not too good for a noob (my opinion) Start here. It WILL point you in the right direction. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=89659 At the very least use the search suggestions found there. Look for dual booting. I've been here for a several years and haven't looked through "just about all of the website".
