Brywalker
Odd. I built the disc and everything, installed without errors. Then the system reboots and gives me a b0 error. I have no luck here, but my hardware is mint. No probs with 10.4.3 with 100% hardware compatibility.

Everyone should use this existing thread for discussin install problems: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...pic=9625&st=200 The current thread is just for talking about the original post (ie, the security go broken). :pirate2:

jdxxx
Installed 10.4.5 (from 10.4.3, with 10.4.4 partition). P4HT 3Ghz Simply cut and past the maxxuss scripts to terminal. Results: -Mouse tearing is much worse than 10.4.3 or .4. -DVD player now works -Opening the iWorks Introduction -> mouse cursor disappears and needs restart to recover a cursor (same problem in 10.4.4) -xBench goes from 70 to about 78 -- mainly because UI now scores well -Boot Login of user required (no auto-login, as others have reported) Summary: For usability, 10.4.3 is still best for me. Using Opera 9 beta2 browser, I get no mouse tearing, and only slight problem with other applications. I have 10.4.3 and 10.4.5, but will probably continue booting 10.4.3 to do anything (mouse artifacts are too bothersome). On my system, I can see no benefit in .4 or .5 upgrades. So i'd say something is weird with your image.

(The fact that iPhoto 5 is in there kinda proves it)

trav1085
I also have something very good (At least I think so) is Hiren's BootCD 7.8 (freeware). http://www.9down.com/downloads.php?fileid=288 You burn the ISO to a cd and just boot with it, you can select what os you want to boot (it only displays windows for me, not my linux distro). IT also has many tools on it. It does have acronis and about 9 other partition mangers. Works great. Use DeepBurner Free to burn the iso. THe rar password is "www.9down.com" without quotes, it's supplied on their site. -Travis
