I am trying to DSDT patch my P5Q-EM 2203 BIOS ROM.

I download the new ASL Complier found here:

http://www.acpica.org/downloads/binary_tools.php

It looks like it is going to compile fine but I keep getting this error:

I didn't know if anyone knows what I should do or how to get around it. I was trying to follow the directions on page 25. I have attached my extracted/modified files, along with the original BIOS if anyone could either tell me how to proceed or if anyone is kind enough to get the file to compile for me.

Thanks,

Dan

I have an ASRock X58 extreme MB with this bios:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.asp?Mode...T=B&ID=2680

After extracting, I find that there is only one instance of "DSDT" and no instance of "WAKh" !

Any experts out there who can lead me from here?

I'm using an i7 Quad Core 920, X58 chipset, and Geforce GTS 250 video card.

TIA

Could you make a modded BIOS for my ASRock P45DE? My hardware:

ASRock P45DE (NB: P45, SB: ICH10R)

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (E0)

NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT 512MB (G92)

BIOS: P1.60

I need to start with the cpus=1 command and a Quadcore with one core isn't really useful :)

Could someone at least give me the tool to mod my BIOS? (Is there such a tool?) I am quite good at these things :)

Could you please fix the MSI neo combo-f bios: MSI 7365 v1.70

my config:

Msi P35 neo combo -F

Pentium 935 D

FSB 800MHz

Intel chipset discovery routine identifies the chipset as:Intel G31/G33

Onboard RTL 8111 ethernet

Onboard realtek HD audio (different implementation of Intel ALC888)

2x 2GB mushkin enhanced DDR2 800MHz

2x WDC 250GB

1x Samsung 320GB

Winfast 8600 GT extreme 256 Mb (same as Nvidia 8600GT) or ASUS EN 7600 GS 256Mb (same as nvidia 7600GS)

Issues: Only runs on 1 core and sse2, and no AHCI mode , although the chipset should support it, can only switch SATA IDE on/off.

Maybe more problems, but i cannot even install OSX with only 1 core running, panic attack when halfway through the install.

This might be related to the inability to switch to AHCI mode

MSI P45 PLATINUM / ZILENT

  • a direct link to the BIOS file,

MSIP45_7512v16.zip

  • your PC specs (CPU, Chipset and Graphics Card),

(cpu q9550, Intel P45+ICH10R, Gigabyte Radeon HD4870, DDR2 2x1Gb 1066 Corsair, iatkos 10.5.8 vanilla

  • and a description of the issues.

All cores, Firewire Jmicron 381 freeze at boot, so i have to remove firewire kexts from extensions folder, Memory work at 800 instead 1066

Chipset: E-7050 NForce610i

GFX: GeForce 8500

Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2200

Issues:

I can run with both cores, but only with DSDT patch applied to my bios. But the computer apparently still doesn't like it because many things will cause kernel panics on my system. In addition to that, running two cores causes an overheating problem. I think I needed my bios modded for this.

Heres the link: ftp://ftp.evga.com/bios/NF72v15.zip
