Tigra137
This to request a patched bios for the eee pc 1000 (linux): BIOS link: http://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/EeePC/Eee...0-ASUS-0913.zip Computer: eee pc 1000 linux - SSD version Issue: (Thanks for the patch to the earlier 0803 version of the bios.) This more recent bios adds support for the faster SATA SSD's. I've installed such an SSD (Super Talent 16GB) in my eee pc 1000 and installed OSX on it (using linux and a disk copy from a test USB disk install). The older, patched version of the bios does not recognize the SSD. This newer bios does recognize the disk, but gives quite a long boot time (5 min?). I am, for now, stuck with this very long boot time. Thanks!
Nurettin
Well, I guess the title says it all, after spending a lot of time reading Documentations, Specifications, Forums.. and hunting for testers , I finally got tehmachacker (thank you) to test a modified BIOS, and as expected, it worked. You will find some of the modified BIOSes here. Keep in mind that I take no responsibility for a bad flash or if anything goes wrong.. in this web site, the Asus F3JC link dosn't work. http://osrom.net/biosmod/ if some one have this bios, please send to a sharing web site. mivanitsky
Hello Kabyl, I would greatly appreciate it if you could modify my bios for my Asus Rampage II Extreme. I am unable to get it to start in vanilla install or any distro I have tried. I can't get anything to boot successfully, so a BIOS flash is my best hope. This board had Dual BIOS, so the procedure is even relatively risk free! blppt
Hi, looking for a patched bios for a Biostar P43 mobo...strangely enough, it works fine when I disable the "multi-core processing" option in the BIOS....according to OSX, however, it is using only 2 of the 4 cores. This is WITH iATKOS v7 (just released), and the APIC fix. I do not need to do the cpus=1 in startup if I disable the BIOS "multi-core processing" option as mentioned above, but I would like to use all 4 cores on my Q6600. Thanks! Biostar TP43D2-A7 v6 (Intel P43) Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 8GB Kingston HyperX DDR2-800 evga nVidia GTX280 1024MB (iATKOS v7 actually includes WORKING drivers for GTX2xx!!) Realtek ALC662 audio 2 IDE Hard drives, 1 SATA Blu-Ray burner, 1 SATA Hard disk Heres the link to the BIOS, its not a *direct* download, but as soon as you enter/click this link, it will download the correct file. http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us/biosdl.php?BID=1342 If you need it as a DIRECT download, i uploaded it to fileden as well: http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/6/25/2488495/P43AA518.BST Thanks a bunch! SZGY
Hey Kabyl, I have a laptop with the following specs: Asus X58L Processor: T7500 Memory: 3GB HDD: 120GB SATA Graphics Card: Intel GMA X3100 Chipset: Intel GL960 Express Chipset + ICH8M iDeneb 1.4 was working fine on this notebook before it underwent a CPU upgrade. The original processor was a Celeron 575. With the C2D it doesn't boot anymore, gives the error described above so a BIOS patch should fix this. If you have time, please look into patching this BIOS. Your help is appreciated. Thank you and keep up the good work, SZGY Download

youpek
Hi, I have an Acer Aspire M7711, an intel core quad cpu q8200, 4Gb RAM, my chipset is nvidia mcp7a and my bios is an AMI R01-A2. almodovaris
Well, I appreciate your efforts to modify the BIOS, but since I've flashed dead some computers in the past, I won't work with a modded BIOS. I could not recover them. Imho, the problem is neither the BIOS nor the kernel (I have iATKOS v7 working with a vanilla kernel and cpus=1 at boot prompt), but it is some driver, perhaps the ACPI driver. I say this because XXX Final (not V2) booted ok with both cores, without requiring a cpus=1 option. So, XXX has some driver in it which fixes the problem with multiple cores, requiring neither a modded BIOS nor a cpus=1 option at boot prompt. Unfortunately, the developer of XXX stopped with developping it. I couldn't get XXX v2.

almodovaris
Eventually, I had enough courage to flash my ASUS P5Q with the BIOS 2102 modded by Juzzi. I feared that my computer will become a dead brick. It didn't. Osx86 works now great with two cores. But this is not something available for everybody, so I suggest to contact the person who developped XXX and ask what driver he used, which allows booting osx86 with multiple cores, aliased as CPU1, CPU2, etc.
