Hello Kabyl

I tried your modded bios for this motherboard. Just wanted to let you know that i get a BSOD in windows with your bios. Never could install osx with it either unless i install the Acpi FIX, which limits me to 1 core per cpu. Since then a new Bios has been released, 401. I can install OSX just fine, but upon boot is where i get the panic.

 

Vista requires ACPI APIC support , and also ACPI Support 2.0

OSX can't boot with ACPI APIC support , but ACPI 2.0 Support works fine(still limited to 1 core.)

 

With the information i gave you. Do you think you can mod the new bios so i can give another shot at it?

 

i cant get a direct link to the bios from asus, but its on the support.asus.com , ASUS z7s ws Bios Rev 401

hello to all excuse my English, I need help with this plate asus P5QL-E found in the annex original bios, I was not able to mount leopard because I have not changed the bios. I ask "kabyl" if you can change or maybe can do a tutorial to change the firmware on their own.

Hello

 

I loaded the Rom for my Bios from Osxcores.site50.net, but it didn´t work for me.

After flashing the Rom my bios hangs on Start up screen and I can do nothing. Could you please try to make a working Bios for me. I really would appreciate this.

 

My Specs are:

 

Board: Foxconn P35AX-S (Intel ICH9 Chipset)

Geforce GT8800 512mb

Intel Core2Quad q6600 at 2.4 Ghz

4 Gbyte of RAM

Is there a modded BIOS yet for the Asus X51L notebook? If not I would be very happy if someone could make one cos I get stuck on the "Using 10485 buffer headers...." error

Ive tried the iDeneb 1.3 / 10.5.5 installer works fine until reboot and the the error

Chipset Intel GL960, Intel ICH8M

Graphic Intel GMA X3100

 

Tried the bios on http://www.osxcores.site50.net/ for the x51L, Windows boots normally but the osx install gives the same error again

Tried cpus=1 and it makes no difference

Tried different kernels in the ideneb installer, StageXNU kernel panics after install, the others give the buffer header error

 

Kalyway installer dvd wont even boot properly until it panics, tried different kernels on it too.

Seems like the Asus X51L notebook doesnt like osx :)

Hi, my name is Miguel and I just installed 10.5.5 and got everything working except my dual Core amd opteron 175 gets only one core detected.

 

My motherboard is asus a8n32-sli deluxe with 4gb ram.

AMD Opteron 175 (Dual core), only 1 core detected.

Asus 7600gt correctly detected with CI/QE accelerated.

OSX on a 120gb ATA Drive

Vista on a 250Gb SATA Drive.

Currently 9.5.0 voodoo kernel installed.

 

 

Would a fixed bios help detect the second core?? Would windows vista continue working without problems??

Hi kabyl, Could you please make a modified bios for my MSI PR200 laptop ?

You can find mode tech details about laptop here. I have core 2 duo t7500 @ 2.2 ghz cpu.

There are two different bios on the web site for WinXP and Vista. I donot really know what is the different but URL’s are below. I hope you could help the install leopard on my laptop.

problem is about ACPI. I tried to boot with every kind of install cd from originals to kalyway,iatkos etc but none of them even show me gray apple screen it always reboots just before gray apple screen.

 

I can boot and install with cpus=1 parameter using iatkos 4.1i with ahci enabled. I hope you can make a fix to use both cores.

 

*** Edit : removed Vista bios because I could not even boot with Vista version of bios.

hi Kabyl. i was wondering if you could fix this bios for the ECS 945GCT-M/1333 v3.0 to see both cores on my hackintosh.

here are my specs:

 

ECS 945GCT-M/1333 v3.0

Intel Core2Duo E4500 2.2ghz

2gb OCZ platinum DDR2800

500gb Seagate Sata

8600GT 256Mb Dual DVI

 

the only problems i have are shutdown/sleep but i can live without those. i would really like to see both cores as this is going to be an editing computer.

well, I need 2 a mod 4 this bios, but actually btw my "Hacky" is running pretty good... I need this bios mod 2 try to install the retail version w/ very few modifications, cause I hearded that it can be done! So please, HELP US 2 DEVELOP!!! :P;)

Hi, OMN!

 

Its again jazzminos with his Toshiba P100-257. I changed my memory banks for 2x2Gb (PC-5300). The SOUND doesn't work at all... I have device in system profiler, working sound hot keys, volume adjuster but completely NO sound. Sound works fine with 2x512 PC-5300.

 

The problem is with BIOS, broken DSDT.

 

Is it possible for You to return back to my problem? I can live and work without sleep mode, but it is VERY sad to think that there is no sound in my hackintosh.

Hi all,

 

Just a quick message to let you know that I have tried the modded bios for the asus P5b deluxe and unfortunately it did not work for me.

I tried with -v to see the log and it throws heaps of error such as syntax error in config or something like that.

The list is too long and I don't know if a log file is generated and where.

If there is one, I am more than happy to post it here.

Since it seems that the p5b deluxe is not popular regarding modding the bios, not sure if someone would have time ti investigate.

Thanks anyway for modifying the bios

I am having the same problem. This lappy has no optical drive so I am using a USB drive. Any ideas? Is this BIOS related?

i ask you this because i've already F3JpAS.208 standard(asus) version and i can't flash the same version of bios!

this is the last bios for Asus F3JP model

 

 

here there are spec:

 

CPU: Intel Core Duo T7200 2.0GHz

RAM: 2048MB

GPU: Ati Mobility Radeon X1700 512MB

HD: 160GB

hello to everyone in this forum.I am very new to this forum.with the help of this forum I managed to run leopard 10.5.5

on my desktop.all the hardware is working successfully.but my problem is,only one core of my quadcore prossesore is working.and also I have 4GB DDR3 ram,but the system shows only 3GB ram.

 

I have Asus P5K3 DELUXE motherboard intel P35 chipset.

prossessore intel quadcore Q6600 2.4Ghs.

 

can anyone guide me to make work all 4 cores of my prossessore and 4GB ram.
