AmiSFI gives "Bootblock checksum is bad" when i try flash it, not shure should i flash this bios in msdos, flashing in dos would work for shure but still worrying about that bootblock checksum is bad error.

Mobo : MSI P35 Neo-F and bios i try flash is (MS)-7360v19 *P35 Neo-F from osxcores site.

EDIT : well it gives it with original bios too so i guess there is no much to worry about, just going to flash in dos mode :)

Nope not working.. cannot anymore save CMOS settings with this bios "CMOS Checksum Error" and it does not matter even if i reset CMOS via jumper or battery and still cannot run iDeneb 10.5.4 with all cores.

I hope you find something to fix this bios.

Atm im in Vista SAFE Mode, too crashy in normal mode, untill you can work out the bios better ill flash back to original v1.9 bios.

EDIT : I'll try that OpenDSDT.kext after next try on modified bios

Okay, I'll take another look at it. should been fine, but I could have missed something simple. sorry about that.

Fixing it now, check your PM in about 2-3 minutes

rintamarotta Check PM

Well, I tested all day the OpenDSDT, it's a dead end for the most part, unless somebody is good at writing a .kext for it. The only thing I was able to get it to do is crash after hours of testing different strings and such :)

:D hey now, this one should work, hehe

I think it was due to AMIBCP that I've only used a few time, have read it corrupts the bios, so this could have been the problem. I've stopped using it since.

*EDIT*

I've uploaded the new bios to the Server, however use the new bios I sent you in PM, Just want to make sure you use the right one. :)

Yep this one works better, no more PFN_LIST_CORRUPT errors or CMOS Corrupt errors :D.

Still too bad, cannot boot to iDaneb 10.5.4 without -cpus=1 or cpus=1 flag :D, not shure what went wrong since 1month ago it worked fine with v1.7 bios but its also not anymore working... wierd thing exactly same way installed every single time :/

Maybe need just continue trying to reinstall iDeneb, with different driver combinations and {censored} :)

Just that it does not seem to reconize IDE at all, sometimes in past it have worked once in this same iDeneb 10.5.4 but now last 3 installations it havent worked at all.

In past before i bought SATA drive i had "waiting for root device" problems, got it once working and seem to cannot get it anymore working. :thumbsup_anim:

Not shure how i should select the drivers in installation, its basicly Jimcron cabable chip but some reason that driver does not work anymore ;)

One thing im shure, its all about BIOS, how MSI made it since same kind of Gigabyte P35 motherboards work without problem with same IDE controller.

Anyway im off to sleep :)

A quick technical question to you MacNut:

I have a Asrock Conroe 1333 d667 r1. I saw that you have modded the Bios for R2.

My questions are:

Can I use it on a R1?

The files on your website are ROM file, do I have to use a floppy disk or is there a way to make it work on windows?

Thanks alot for your help.

Windows version of the 1.80 bios:

DOS version:

Let me do your bios, In most case you can use a r2 bios on an r1, but you can't use the r1 bios on the r2, If you can make since of that.

I know MSI is that way for sure, as you could use the new bio on R1, R2 R3, boards, but with a R3, you can only use a R3 bios or newer

Anyways, let me boot into vista and I'll get you token care of :D

*EDIT1*

In vista now, give me like 5 to get it done then check your PM

*EDIT2*

I'm going to say yes, when I go to the download link it reads

Home » Product » ConRoe1333-D667 R1.0 » Download

Filename: ConRoe1333-D667(R2.0)(1.80)Win.zip

as for Floppy, I don't even own one. I turn off the Floopy in the bios on my ASRock and boot off a CD with opendos, the I run AFUDOS and what ever rom I want to flash with off a usb pen drive.

Thank you so much OriginamlMACNUT, you're the man. It took me a little while to understand, but I got it eventually. I don't have a floppy drive either, and I didn't know about opendos.

Thanks again, I think I'm gonna put a E8400 on that cheap motherboard :D
