The search function is giving me an error for somereason, can someone tell me if there is a working modded bios for the acer m5620? I believe it is R01-A0 but not entirely sure.

Did you find a bios for your machine??? I am looking for the same thing and have not found one for the 5620...

BrandName: Acer Aspire M5620-U5210A

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 2.4 GHZ

RAM: 3gb

Motherboard: G33T-AM

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD2600Pro PCI-E 512MB

Chipset: ICH9

Link to bios file: ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/desktop/aspi...R01-A0(721).zip

I am like q66 above after numerous installs I finally have it installed using Kalyway 10.5.1 cpus=1 flag and using the sse2 kernel, the noobs guide to update any 10.5.x to 10.5.5, and now the ATI Dirvers posted by drumthrasher109 yesterday, I now have a fully working machine except the 4 cores.... Thanks again for all your guys hardwork on this and any help you guys can provide on modding my bios above would be greatly appreciated....

Hi. I have a very serious problem with my Toshiba P100-257. I tried to activate my Conexant sound chip. Finally I got my sound working (speakers+headphones). This happened when I used a modded BIOS from P105-S6024 BIOS 4.00 (working on a P105-S6014). This model is practically the same as mine. But it has a fingerprint reader. But the problem is that I got 2 unknown devices in Windows and my sleep function doesn't work both in Leo and in Win. It seems that there are problems with ACPI. Can You help me to correct my BIOS to get my sleep work. Whitehorse solved this problem with Toshiba P100-253. His model is identical to mine. But it seems that he is out of this forum and he doesn't reply privat messages. He also forgot to upload his modded BIOS anywhere :)

This is the post where he wrote his method http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...&pid=840090 .

Thanks beforehands for help.

With great respect, jazzminos.

BIOS:

http://download1.msi.com.tw/files/download...exe/7380v12.zip

Mother Board:

MSI P7N SLI Platinum LGA 775

CPU:

Intel QuadCore Q6600 2.4 GHZ

Chipset

NVIDIA® nForce 750i SLI

Issue:

Depending on what version I use, I either get (version 4.1) an error where it freezes at;

MAC Framework succesfully initialized

using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers

Extension “com.apple.driver.ACPI_SMC_PlatfotmPlugin” has immediate depencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style

or if I boot it without -v it sticks at the apple logo loading screen. The wheel spins but ive waited about 2 hours and it didnt load anything.

or (version 1.0i) just restarts my computer.

Hi.

Can you modify my bios

Foxconn P35A

Intel® P35 + ICH9

CPU core 2 duo E8400

GC Zogis 8600 GT 512RAM

JaS OSx86 10.5.4

link to bios ver. 6B3F1P40 http://www.foxconnchannel.com/support/down...ID=en-us0002206

My problem:

with the "Multi-processor" disabled in the BIOS loads the OS normally, and if this option is enabled the OS enter into infinite reboot loop.

Thanks!

Hi OMN Im very very glad you've done work on modding BIOS of MSI. Actually I have not yet purchased the P7N SLI Platinum. Im just doing research before buying. So Im finding the p7n mobo owners on this forum who have tried and tested this. So far I've not came across anyone. Have you got any reviews about p7n ? Let me know. Thanks for your help. :(

Can you get that one working for an AMD Phenmon X4 Quad Core

Well,

I'm off to school hehe :)

I'm going over the ACPI tables again, thanks to your bios, sheesh hehe.

anway, there is alot of problems with this acpi table in iasl.

I can edit it, but till I find what I'm looking for on this certain acpi table, I'm not going to ask you to flash it.

Main link error are due to LN2D (and a large mount in between ) LNKA, with over 200 error when trying to compile  I'll keep searching :) or does anyone have a link to how these are support to be fixed?

Thats good. I hope so. :)

Just have some queries-

**By the way can we dual boot Vista-Leopard on this mobo using your bios ?

**This works with every p7n sli platinum?

**If something goes wrong, what happens to mobo? Any way to recover the loss (except buying new)?

Okay, I got it uploaded. I had to leave for a bit, sorry for not getting it posted right after.

**By the way can we dual boot Vista-Leopard on this mobo using your bios ? ( Should work just fine )

**This works with every p7n sli platinum? ( Depend on make and Model of board, just like any other bios. )

**If something goes wrong, what happens to mobo? Any way to recover the loss (except buying new)? ( depends on if it has a recovery setup, also you wouldn't have to buy another board. Just call the MB support and have them ship you a new bios. roughly cost $10. )

@bartm669

I've attached the .dsl file, you can have a look at it with text editor or something like that

Okay guys, this is my last post here in this forum.

Thanks,
