From your website I found a Bios(W7E W7ESAS.303) which look like my one but I don't sure either it is suitable or not. Asus G1S (how do I find the exact model?) installing on a 100GB SATA drive on the USB port I'll try switching to the e-Sata later.... any hints on that? Kyliway version installed !!. Asus G1S-1A using modded 300 bios working. Both cores recognized. No longer have to boot with "cpus=1". Possibly my imagination, but OSX 10.5.2 actually feels more responsive. shevek08 Posted August 20, 2008 Share Posted August 20, 2008 hi i posted a few pages back asking if anyone could try and mod a bios for an msi gx700 laptop. and i also wrote that i couldn't do it myself and so on... well, what do you know, i was now able to fix the dsdt. however, i will not flash my bios for the simple reason that i just had to rma my laptop after trying to flash it with a regular, unmodded bios. anyway, i now have it back, and all is fine. since i have been able to fix the dsdt, and i know it works, at least in ubuntu, i was wondering if anyone here has any idea how this dsdt inject thing is coming. i know that some months ago kabyl posted that he wrote a kext that will inject the fixed dsdt and whatnot. and i would much prefer that method cause as i said i will never so much as think about flashing my bios again. however, if any of the other gx700 users here want to give it a shot, i could try and finish modding the bios, though i would strongly recommend staying away from a bios flash. so, anyone know anything about this? cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Its a Barebone Notebook : MSI PR200 Intel Core Duo SSE2,SSE3 Intel GM965 Chipset Intel X3100 GFX ALC888 Sound 3GB RAM Leo4Allv3 installs well with -v cpus=1.Must choose old ACPI and Remove Firewire Kext in Installmenu.Must start with -v cpus=1 but it works great but only one core .
