bilsta58
Hi i have a problem, even with the bios mod i can't get to the desktop without having to type in cpus=1. My graphics card is X3100 and it works of the box but if the Cpus=1 command is not inserted all i get is the darwin bootloader text and a black mouse pointer any i dears of sorting this. i'm using 10.5.2 Leo 4 All updated from 10.5.1 Iaktos 1.0i thanks in advance! Ask Kabyl for a modified BIOS because you dont need the cpus=1 kernel flag if you have a hacked BIOS

I guess it's similar to my MSI PR600's problem. The reason you need add cpus=1 is due to the interference by Natit.kext &/or AppleX3100 related kext/bundles. You can activate your duo cores function if you disable X3100 graphics and using VESA only.

BebopBlues
So now we have working cores, what Asus laptop model is the best for Leopard? I see in many people's sigs that a lot of the hardware still doesn't work, particularly wireless, ethernet, sound, bluetooth, webcam, and media adapters. kazzi
Thanks Kabyl. It worked, "10485 frame buffer" error fixed with new ACPI kexts and High Speed USB port fixed with PCGenUSBEHCI (although the camera still produces black screen with most programs except Y!M, but that's another story). Both cores work well
