Yes I have seen this site but you only have a "N80Vb as207" which is similar but not the same BIOS as the one required for my laptop which requires the "N80Vc" BIOS as linked. i.e the internal hardware is slightly different.

thanks for your reply. i also want the modified N80Vc207AS to solve the cpus=1 problem.

Hi! I'm looking for improvement of DSDT for my eeepc 1000H.

I have a number a questions about some AML scripts.

Q1. I have a PS2 controller with mouse and keybord. The script code

Device (PS2K)

{

Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0303"))

Name (_CID, 0x0B03D041)

Method (_STA, 0, NotSerialized)

{

ShiftLeft (One, 0x0A, Local0)

If (And (IOST, Local0))

{

Return (0x0F)

}

Return (Zero)

}

Name (_CRS, ResourceTemplate ()

{

IO (Decode16, 0x0060, 0x0060, 0x00, 0x01)

IO (Decode16, 0x0064, 0x0064, 0x00, 0x01)

IRQNoFlags () {1}

})

}

Device (PS2M)

{

Name (_HID, EisaId ("SYN0A04"))

Name (_CID, Package (0x03)

{

0x000A2E4F,

0x02002E4F,

0x130FD041

})

Method (_STA, 0, NotSerialized)

{

ShiftLeft (One, 0x0C, Local0)

If (And (IOST, Local0))

{

Return (0x0F)

}

Return (Zero)

}

Name (_CRS, ResourceTemplate ()

{

IRQNoFlags () {12}

})

}

Its worked well, but its look like duplication in ioreg. Take a look attachement

p.s.

And, the second question is:

Can anyone upload .AML or .DSL or .ROM file with working clamshell wakeup function? I dnt mean a native mac, i wanna look on custom made DSDT. My 1000H can wakeup only on anykey pressed, and i want to fix it.

Does anyone know if the latest MSI Neo FR BIOS (1.10) has been modded? I just bought a new CPU and have to use this new version.

If not, any chance it could be done? Here is the link: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=download...5&type=bios

Edit: Had a look around and this version hasn't been done yet. Have paid a dollar to have it made though :)

Edit Again: Hmmm, my dollar got refunded. I really need this mod!

Well, I guess the title says it all, after spending a lot of time reading Documentations, Specifications, Forums.. and hunting for testers :P , I finally got tehmachacker (thank you) to test a modified BIOS, and as expected, it worked.

This is the issue that intends this mod to fix:

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=78235

Basically, what I'm doing is modifying and fixing errors in the DSDT; removing aliases for the "processor" devices, because the ACPIPlatform kext doesn't like them and treat them as other CPUs.. (it's written for Macs, and Apple doesn't use that in their Firmware's ACPI Tables, actually I don't see why we need them, well..)

I for example change this:

	Scope (_PR)
		   {
			   Processor (P001, 0x01, 0x00000810, 0x06) {}
			   Alias (P001, CPU1)
		   }

into:

	Scope (_PR)
		   {
			   Processor (P001, 0x01, 0x00000810, 0x06) {}
		   }

Sometimes I have to fix more stuff.. you should know that when you try to compile your DSDT.

So if you want to get a fixed BIOS, you can PM me post your request here, included with:

  • a direct link to the BIOS file,
  • your PC specs (CPU, Chipset and Graphics Card),
  • and a description of the issues.

Don't PM me with requests, post them in this thread.

You will find some of the modified BIOSes here.

Keep in mind that I take no responsibility for a bad flash or if anything goes wrong..

NOTE: About Dell laptops, I'm still trying to find the cause of the issues, so if anyone has any suggestions, you're welcome :thumbsup_anim: .

Could you modify the A6je?
