David1988
Well, I guess the title says it all, after spending a lot of time reading Documentations, Specifications, Forums.. and hunting for testers , I finally got tehmachacker (thank you) to test a modified BIOS, and as expected, it worked. This is the issue that intends this mod to fix: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=78235 Basically, what I'm doing is modifying and fixing errors in the DSDT; removing aliases for the "processor" devices, because the ACPIPlatform kext doesn't like them and treat them as other CPUs.. (it's written for Macs, and Apple doesn't use that in their Firmware's ACPI Tables, actually I don't see why we need them, well..) I for example change this: Scope (_PR) { Processor (P001, 0x01, 0x00000810, 0x06) {} Alias (P001, CPU1) } into: Scope (_PR) { Processor (P001, 0x01, 0x00000810, 0x06) {} } Sometimes I have to fix more stuff.. you should know that when you try to compile your DSDT. So if you want to get a fixed BIOS, you can PM me post your request here, included with: a direct link to the BIOS file, your PC specs (CPU, Chipset and Graphics Card), and a description of the issues. Don't PM me with requests, post them in this thread. You will find some of the modified BIOSes here. Keep in mind that I take no responsibility for a bad flash or if anything goes wrong.. NOTE: About Dell laptops, I'm still trying to find the cause of the issues, so if anyone has any suggestions, you're welcome . Hello, can you modify the bios of the asus f8sp laptop. I know someone else also posted it, but I did not see a link. Thank you bios link: http://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/F8Sp/F8SP301AS.zip Pc specs. Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5750, Chipset: Intel PM965, Graphics: ATI HD3650 1GB DDR2 I heard that a bios fix for the chipset would work. Cant get any of the osx installs to work. Thank you. Also, This is a bit much, but I was wondering if there was a hidden bios menu for memoy timing, But thats all. Thank you

thevoiceover
I know Dell boxes have had issues but it seems mainly with dual core and above (I am trying to get the OptiplexGX280 BIOS that is single core patched, anyone willing? I also have DSDT from it, but it seems to freak out at bootup, it loads the proper res (fills screen with light blue with chunky blocks that are black and white like space invaders almost at the bottom) I do have an x1600 in this box also, not using internal video - could this be the problem with the DSDT? GX280 DSDT download and the Dell gx280 Bios but what about HP's? I also would like a NC8430 to be patched, Dual core with x1600 ATI.... nc8430 HP Laptop Bios

Lamneth
After success with a dual boot iPC OSx86 Universal 10.5.6 and Windows XP on a Core 2 Duo/Asus P5GC-MX motherboard build, I got ambitious and built this new machine: Core i7 920 processor Asus P6T motherboard 6gb DDR3 1333mhx RAM The build went fine but now I am trying to load OS X and getting close but not able to get OS X running. I've tried various OSx86 distros (iDeneb went the farthest, most others would not even get to OS X install) and then retail install with boot 132. This is where I am getting stuck. Salomon
Hallo Kabyl, I'm using the Asrock Conroe945G-DVI with Tiger and Leopard on Intel E4300 and it worked great so far. Now I got a new prozessor (Intel E7200) and it's supported by a special bios from Asrock-support. But If i made the bios update, both Tiger & Leopard are not running anymore! I can't even boot from the installer dvd's. So could you please be so kind and fix this bios: http://rapidshare.com/files/216402719/CR945GD1.91a.rar Thank you very much! S. James_RSX
I thought I should post my specs and up the bios. its an AMIBIOS modded from R01-A4 bios. beware you must have this bios. and set everything to default setting before flashing. for me that was pressing f9 to reset to defaults. Model Identifier: Aspire M5630 Processor Name: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Graphics Card: 860GTt Overlocked 512MB RAM: 4GB of patriot viper 800mhz P.S. sleep works too. Is there anything thats not working? Hi, I have an Acer M5700 Processor Name: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q8200 Graphics Card: Intel x4500 Northbridge: Intel P45 rev A3 Southbridge: Intel ICH10R rev 00 I have been trying to install Mac OS X on this system. I have tried both iDeneb nd iAtkos 5i distributions. Both will fully install the software but when the system reboots, they hang at the grey apple screen. Starting in verbose mode -v shows that they are freezing after the statements: MAC Framework sucessfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers Since you have a similar system, can you tell me what distribution you are running and what options you chose on installation to get your system to boot Mac OS X? ascadol
I know I have some of those requested here http://www.osxcores.site50.net/ done already. Yes I have seen this site but you only have a "N80Vb as207" which is similar but not the same BIOS as the one required for my laptop which requires the "N80Vc" BIOS as linked. i.e the internal hardware is slightly different. http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/N80V/N80Vc207AS.zip
