Could someone please help me? I've downloaded the zip file from the site for Asrock Conroe 1333 D667...I updated to the latest bios 1.80, but I cannot run the file inside the zip...it is unix executable file. The other is MD5 file...How can I modify my bios?

Processor: Intel core 2 duo E8200

I found a problem with quad-core CPU on my custom PC.

open apple.com.boot.plist (the important one) and check the key with 'flags' in it.

Mine said cpus=1 -f

Which means it boots with one core in 'old safe mode'

Just remove -f and set cpus to 4 and you're done.

Haven't actually test it when you remove the cpus flag as well. maybe it boots with 4 cores then too..

System:

ASUS P5B-Deluxe w/o WiFi

ASUS EN8600GTS

AData/Kingston 800Mhz DDR2 memory

Using iDeneb V1.3 and Chameleon Bootloader

U guys do not set right the paameters in the bios, the asrock 1333 is a BOMB! it works very nice with leopard retail vanilla kernel ...

In Bios setup for the CPU disable the second and last parameter put it to DISABLE i dont remember the second parameter but i remember the last is the speedstep....

once u installed the 10.5.5 u can enable the speedstep!

I have this motherboard working fine withou dsdt pacth, thnx to kabil bios, deep sleep works very nice, im using pcefiv9/chameleon 1.012 without dsdt pacth!

For 132 boot u can use the generic iso boot!

i have damaged audio onboard so i had to use one usb card for audio, but i know audio is working fine too.

SO DONT COMPLAIN and search on the forum!

P.S. my point is to get all 2 cores working.Do your OS recognize correctly your processor?

If I copy the file in USB pen and boot from it will it flash my bios?

I've been building hacky's with Dell machines now for a while, and up till now only used Dell precision 470's and 670's because they had 2 processors in them and used Xeon processors.(best fit to Mac Pro's).

I recently have made a hacky out of a Dell Optiplex 745, with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache, and a Geforce 8400 GS 256 meg video card.

I have it all running(using Leo4AllV3 as the installer) but I do have this problem.

This Hacky is only using 2 of the 4 cores.

I've read thru alot of these post on this thread, and understand that the Dell's Bios hasn't been able to be modded.

What I havn't seen here is that noone seems to get more than just 1 of the cores working(Dual or quad) on their Dells, and I am wonder why I am seeing 2 cores working?

I eagerly await a mod for dell, and just thought I would put this out.(maybe it will help in figuring out a Bios mod for Dell:)

cheers

First of all I'd just like to say that I am thoroughly impressed that you take the time to do this for random people Kabyl - I salute your attitude!

I got an Asus barebone called "Asus T3-P5945GCX" with a P5L13L motherboard. The latest BIOS is the "T-P5945GCX

0802 BIOS" which can be found at http://dlsvr.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Barebone/T3...945GCX-0802.zip

If you were to patch it to enable the use of both cores of my Intel Pentium E5300, Dual Core, 2.6 GHz, 2MB, I would be very grateful!

Hey folks

I have a P35D3 MSI motherboard. I have been working for YEARS trying to get any version of OS X working with my motherboard. I HAVE FINALLY FOUND ONE!!!

After readin a few threads of bios mods and findif that not one was made for my board I started trying some more downloads out.

I have tried versions from 10.4.2 to 10.5.6, the only one that has worked was from the pirate...(can't specify on this site) and it was named something like "XxX leopard 10.5.6". Do your normal searches and you'll find the site it's on. I did not have to use a bios mod for this, and this was the only download that actually worked.

I know this is a rare mobo and very few people have it.

I was able to get Ubuntu 8.10 installed and thats when I decided to try mac os again. My bios firmware is 1.6

I set all my bios settings to what everyone else has listed for this series of boards and it worked with only this distro.

The only issues that I ever experiences was having to do the "cpus=1" on install and first boot, after that I never had to do it again. ALthough I dont know if it is using both cores of my e6750, at least I know that osx reconizes both cores being there.
