swilso
I seen that you need 512ram or more to run leopard, I have an ibook g4 and want to run a clean install of an osx although it has 256mb/ram. I have the install disc for leopard and want to know if this ibook only has 256, am i able to force leopard to install with only 256? or does it refuse to? t25bimmer
The system alone uses 326MB just to run unix with the gui enabled. You could install it is terminal mode, but you will never be able to get the GUI loaded successfully. Synaesthesia
you will never be able to get the GUI loaded successfully. It might work, but then it will page out to the hard drive all the time. Upgrade your ram. It's really worth it. Even if you did install Leopard, it will suck on 256mb. That or just stick to Tiger. articquad
I'd recommend Panther with 256. Tiger's terribly sluggish with just Safari and iChat running. Seriously dude, just pick up a gig of ram. It'll only run you about $35.00.
