mainecrab
Is there anyway to change the mouse speed after this? Its so slow now and I have changed the setting in the preferences to the fastest it will go.
MarianoJA
Hi ! I got it working, the only problem is that when I restart the computer the scroll becomes unstable as if it were with a zAcceptance... different from 90 (my own magic number). If I kill the deamon and start it again from the console, it works like a charm once more, but I have to do it everytime I start my Hackintosh. Is there any way to fix this?, am I the only one? Thanks, great work, I love my Hackintosh Mariano Happy owner of a Acer Aspire 5610 with Leopard 10.5.4 (iAtkos)

mnfesq
Thank you all for your valuable input. I have this working on my Dell Inspiron 6000. The tracking speed is slow, like it is for a lot of people, but I have found that by moving the tracking speed to max and adjusting the threshold for scrolling, it's pretty manageable and definitely worth keeping. I find, however, that I can scroll from anywhere on the pad and cannot limit it to the right edge. Also, it will only respond to two fingers, not one. No biggie. Good job. kagenokaze
For those of you who are having the problems after reboot just read the other posts I posted an apple app that you can run on boot to restart the deamon for you in the background. jaigandhi5
A bit of a strange one... haven't read about anyone else having this issue. I have it working with scroll and clicking and all but when tracking using the trackpad the pointer freezes. I let go and start tracking again and it works for another few moments. Same with drag and drop, if I double tap the trackpad and start dragging something I can drag it for about an inch but then it stop. If I use the button to drag it's fine and doesn't freeze. I have an XPS M1530 with alps trackpad. I'm having the exact same issue...any solutions?

pierrox
any luck on the MSI Wind? Still nothing? Some users say that the new trackpad is actually quite good in OS X.
coderguy
I tried to use FF on my HP Pavillion dv6263us but no success. I lost a LOT of precision on tap click. Couldn't make 2-finger or even 1-finger scroll to work. Actually worked in a very strange way. I got rid of it. Any alternative solution to a simple scroll using the pad? I mean, I just wanna use the right side of the trackpad to scroll vertically. Is this possible? thanks
Blue-K
Doesn't work on Acer 5715Z (at least for me...).After installing, I was unable to move the cursor (Trackpad AND USB-Mouse)...it isn't bad that it doesn't work, so I don't need help, just wanted to share what happend. Kaine
Works pretty well on Sony Vaio VGN-N320E running Kalyway 10.5.1. Just need to tweak to find sweet spots.
BhaaL
Confirmed working on stoneage Acer Travelmate 800 Series with Leopard 10.5.1 (Kalyway if that matters). The Threshold setting of 90 was a bit hard, going with 50 is pretty good for a start - might need some more tweaking, but works. Great findings ranova! vaporize
Hi all. Thanks for the tutorial, I have an MSI Wind like with Msiwindosx86 (10.5.4), so I've tried your tips. I've followed carefully your instructions, and the only thing I have is a very very very strong sensitivity with the touchpad the first minute after boot. Then sensitivity become normal after a little time. However, tap click and scrolling does not work at all, I don't understand why. Any idea please ?
