wahwahman89
Hi and thanks for reading! My setup is as follows (ignore the sig, old Hack): Q6600 Quad Core 2 Extreme 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM, dual 500GB HD, 8800GT, and so on. In system profiler, I get (note the bold points): Hardware Overview: Model Name: Mac Model Identifier: P35-DS3R Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 4 L2 Cache: 8 MB Memory: 2 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz Boot ROM Version: Hack.int.0sh Serial Number: YM8659M6W0A About This Mac gives: Processor 2.4 GHz Unknown Memory 2GB 667MHz RAM It detects the bold values wrong so I'm concerned it isn't working at its best. In addition, I noticed that encoding a DVD at hi-rez iPod in Handbrake takes about a good two hours. Is that about right or am I being paranoid? How would I reliably go about checking the performance of my machine? I thought of XBench but it is so reliable, sometimes it gives me 220, sometimes 170. On average, 210 though. Is this OK? What is a new Mac Pros's rating? Thanks guys Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88386-best-way-to-check-performance/ Share on other sites
