Chaos Storm
I've done an install of Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1 so many times and I've never had this happen. Installs great, reboots and shows me the video of "Welcome" in different languages. Asks me to identify my USB keyboard (that's normal) and then asks me what region I am in. Then it asks if I want to transfer information from another Mac. I say no, click Next and in a minute I get the spinning beachball and it restarts to the "Welcome" video and starts all over. It's funny in a way I've never had a Mac with amnesia. But after 5 tries, I think I've had enough. entitas
Please connect the Ethernet cable to the PC and enable LAN from the BIOS before booting into Leopard. I think your problem should be solved. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88331-welcome-to-mac-os-x-loop/#findComment-630125 Share on other sites

Royaldust
I had the same thing here. My problem was the connecte USB / PS2 keyboard and mouse. Install and welcome with PS2 connected keyboard and mouse. Thereafter only the USB connection. Try some connections. It should work eventually. (my keybord and mouse is a Logitech wireless one with both connections (with PS2 to USB converter(green)) Hope this helped you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88331-welcome-to-mac-os-x-loop/#findComment-633126 Share on other sites
kschuster
Has anyone figured out exactly what causes this? I just bought a new Dell 530 and I'm in perpetual loop mode.
