Well, quite confusing. I can sent you latest AppleHDA.kext for 64bit (10.6.2 Version) in app. 6 hours, I will post it here. Speaker and Headphone works. I will check your link to.

I got all 64 bit drivers including wlan(atheros) / gmax3100 (breaks brightness) / mouse/keyboard / parallels 5 / eyetv

By the way, i bought http://www.firmtek.com/seritek/seritek-1sm2/ hope that one will work.

I use a modified bios for my x61 to enable certain wlan and umts cards. Maybe there is an update to. 1.24 works?

There is a tool from z***er that can patch normal bioses to those bios version you are talking about ...

Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and Bluetooth:

I got Bluetooth working by deleting AppleHPET.kext + AppleLPC.kext. I added Vendor-ID and Product-ID to IOBluetoothFamily.kext/Contents/Plugins/BroadcomUSBBluetoothHCIController.kext/Contents/Info.plist under scope Broadcom2046FamilyUSBBluetoothHCIController_D

This seem to be the longest 6 hours I've been waiting for ;)

Nice to hear from you. First I thought that you hadn't "Einen guten Rutsch".

PS. Do you need further help on WWAN Bios ?

I got Bluetooth working on my x61t with snow leopard. When I put it to sleep it will wake up right away. If I put it to sleep again then it will stay in sleep mode. The problem is when I wake from sleep, Bluetooth no longer works until I restart the machine again. Has anyone else seen this issue?

Thanks,

I have a x60 Tablet with Snow Leopard, but I was not able to get the trackpoint working either. It worked on Leopard with the ApplePS2Controller.kext fix. However, both the VoodooPS2Controller and the ACPIPS2Nub+ApplePS2Controller result in the same result: the keyboard works but the trackpoint doesn't.

I have x60 tablet too! I have tried to install couple versions of snow leopard without any luck. I always have kernel panic. I installed leopard with "Leo4all v3" and it works fine. so which version of snow leopard that you used or how did you got your x60 tablet installed with snow leopard?? any hints will appreciate!! Thanks a lot.

To get past the kernel panic you need to disable AHCI from the BIOS. I did this on a X61t, I am not sure if you have the same hardware on the X60t. I installed from the Leo CD to the hard disk using a mac mini.

For everyone with PS2 kexts problems, here are two different packs of PS2 kexts, both work on my T60p in 32-bit and x64.

The first one is Synaptics PS2 pack, which will allow you to use two finger scrolling on trackpad and there's also pref pane included to allow very fine tuning. But trackpoint won't work.

http://rapidshare.com/files/350254644/Synaptics_ApplePS2.zip

The other is regular PS2 kexts which will work in x64, allowing to work both trackpoint and trackpad, but no two finger scrolling on trackpad.

http://rapidshare.com/files/350254643/Legacy_PS2.zip

I also include pfix 2.3 to use for kext caches regeneration. You can use PS2 kexts in /Extra/Extensions, but you MUST generate mkext cache, otherwise they won't get picked up during boot. So run pfix after any changes in your kexts.

I used iPortable_Snow_x86_Installer, which also has a very fine documentation of the process.

But it needs a working Mac OSX install. Both iAtkosV7 and Leo4AllV3 worked on my x60t to get up with 10.5 Leopard.

Hi.

i'm on an HP6710b notebook and use 10.6.2

I have the brightness fix in dsdt.aml to get brightness control, however it controls brightness not correctly. (uneven)

using the ./brithness tool i can dimm to 0.95

Do you also use the old FB-Kext for 10.6 ?? I currently use vanilla drivers and have vanilla power management working fine. The only issue is the brightness control.

Is there no way to reassign the range such that F13 /F14 (Scroll/Pause) control the brightness between 0.95 and 1 so it dimms nicely?

Is replacing the FB file the only option? Do you have any dsdt progress?

We use an EFI injection file (first page / first post) for X3100, Sound and Ethernet. This file is a PLIST file in XML schemata. So this EFI injection + "old" FB + DSDT entry may work for your computer also?

Internal Mic Microphone working?

Hi all,

What is the state of the art now?

All friends here have snow leopard installed on their Thinkpad x61t / x60t?

I booted into my leopard (10.5) partition yesterday and found everything working smoothly - except for the internal microphone and the wacom tablet...

Hope to fix these some time in 2010.

Hi all,

I am new to this and am trying to install OSX on my lenovo X61t. I have looked through the previous posts and through the genius bar section of the forums, but I am having trouble understanding how to install OSX.

My specs are

Lenovo Thinkpad X61 tablet

Intel core 2 duo @ 1.6GHz

2.00GB memory

I have downloaded Iatkos v7.

I have some questions

What steps do I take now?

What are kexts and how do I use them?

I have seen people commenting that they are having difficulty getting sound/wireless/tablet pen working. Have these been fixed?

All help will be very much appreciated

Thanks,

Asika

EDIT

First post! YAY!

SNOW LEO VANILLA SPEEDSTEP

Regarding this thread:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=211705

I was able to generate a DSDT file for VANILLA SPEEDSTEP.

This guy also provided a Legacy File for "Serial, Atheros WiFi, SpeedStep C-States". I added Legacy Information for "x61tablet Sound Card, Bluetooth device".

Please PM me, if i should have that hour posting the DSDT patches.

Thanks for sharing Alex,

Just 2 questions,

What bootloader do you use ? Does your DSDT patch permits loading 10.6.3 GMAX3100FB kext ?

I had a fully working 10.6.2 (without DSDT patch), however after the 10.6.3 update I am forced to use the old 10.6.2 GMAX3100FB kext , otherwise the IntelGMAX3100 is not found. The problem arrises when using the 10.6.2 FB kext in a 10.6.3 system breaks QE/CI. If DSDT is the way to go for this I'd speed up and focus on building a specific DSDT for my 2,4Ghz X61 (a machine exact to the Macbook4,1 except for the sound card, although I suppose knowing the similarities between X60T/X61T/X61 most of your DSDT will be applicable to me).

thanks,

Ruben

Hi everyone, thanks for all the info so far, really good stuff. Unfortunately I am not making it nearly as far as you all. I can't even get OSX installer to boot. I initially tried to use the LifeHacker walk through, but used the Terminal stuff and Chamelon to get a USB drive all setup. I can boot from the USB drive, see the Apple Logo, then boom! Kernel Panic.

Any tips or even initial starting places to look? I am very new to Macs, but am very familiar with PCs.

Buddy did you figure out how to get the best combination of working stuff for X61T with the 10.6.3 ?

Hi guys,

I have just upgraded my X61t tablet to 10.6.3 - and had to use the X3100 FB from 10.6.2.

I found no way to re-enable QE / CI on this 10.6.3 install.

Anyone has any success on getting QE / CI working on a 10.6.3 X61t?

If the conclusion is negative, then I may consider reinstalling to downgrade to 10.6.2...

Also, I notice sound may only work on 32-bit 10.6.3 - is it the case?

Hi M,

I found no way, although I gave up some weeks ago, since this will affect beyond the x61 maybe someone has a solution for it already, I dont know. My recommendation right now is to stay in 10.6.2 at 64bit with a usb sound like igriffin, this setup works flawlessly.

cheers,

Ruben

Some updates:

Installed 10.6.0 and updated to 10.6.2

Booting into x86_64

Tablet does not work:

TabletEnabler (64bit or the 1.1 32bit) + TabletMagic 2.0b16 (latest and 32bit)

Other things mostly works:

Sound + internal mic

Wireless

Graphics QE / CI

Have to deal with brightness control and sleep/wake later.
