"Still waiting root.." after update 10.5.2

Hi All,

I'm have problem after update Leopard 10.5.2 on SATA but test on IDE it's ok. I'm try to replace all kext from 10.5.1 but it's not help solve this problems.

Any ideal to fix it.

 

Environment:-

Mobo : ASUS P4P800 SE

CPU : P4 3.0 GHz

RAM : 3 GB

OS-X : Kalyway 10.5.1 on SATA (working all)

DVD : LG-DVD on IDE

 

PS.

After test update to 10.5.2 on my HD IDE that ok (working) but this OS-X disk util can't see any SATA drives.

I am having the same problem. Got SATA hdd, which worked on 10.5.1 iatkos installation until the update, followed netkas's guide. Any one got a fix for this?

Your motherboard has ICH5R southbridge.

It sounds like its not supported, and when I looked at the info.plist inside AppleAHCIPort.kext, I saw no reference to ICH5R.

 

This was a very easy fix for ICH8R.

I bet if you try this fix, using your device ids instead of mine, your SATA HDD will work.

any idea how to find device ids for MSI p965 neo motherboard and how to modify the mentioned fix on the thred specified if the system is not bootable?

 

I edited this message to let you know that the problem was fixed. I copied some of the kext files from the backup that were updated during the upgrade that were used to read the sata disks.
