kmrastegar
hey, i managed to fix my last problem with leopard not booting by installing without EFI, but i have a new problem. i searched the boards but noone has answered the other questions about this. so if anyone could help me it would be nice of you. plug and play for USB devices doesnt seem to be working. if i boot into leopard with, for example, my ipod connected, it mounts not problem. but if i unplug it, then plug it back in, nothing happens. anyone know why this is happening? and how i can fix it? also, i have a 500gb WD MyBook, formatted as fat32, but leopard doesn't detect it at all. boot or no boot. anyone got a workaround for this?? it doesnt even show up in disk utility. ANY help at ALL would be greatly appreciated....please help me.. lol Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87547-usb-plug-and-play-not-working-in-iatkos/ Share on other sites

Schweppes
Give me more info about your OS X (version, kernel, etc) and hardware. If you are using 10.5.1 with 9.0.0 kernel, try using 9.1.0 kernel and System.kext 9.1.0 too. This was my solution for this problem a month ago... StChris
I've got the exact same problem but I'm having difficulties using the BoardSearch to see if there has been any progress made. It always gives me an error and "directory not found" or something. Anyway.. I've got 10.5.3 Newest Available Kernel (9.3? ) It's as described above. USB devices only work when plugged in before booting. zijian
if u have 10.5.2, its probably caused by the kext not matching with some important file. anyway just upgrade to 10.5.3 or above and it should be alright.
