ManiHeer
I was using Uphuck 1.4ir3 and was about to install iwork 08 but it said it needs 10.4.10 or later, it did an update and I couldn't start my computer. Had to install Kubuntu. Then I read about EFI and that all it needs is a SSE3 Intel processor (something like that), which I've got. But is there a DVD that installs EFI with the rest of Mac OS x86 or do you have to manually patch? Thanks in advanced. Reveeen
My Specs (In Detail): 704MB RAM Onboard Graphics (VIA S3G, 64MB shared memory) VIA P4M800 PRO Intel Pentium 4 2.66Ghz Processor Realtek RTL8139 PCI NIC Realtek AC97 Sound Card (I think on motherboard) SAMSUNG SP0802N I would try the "XxX_OS_x86_10.4.11_Install_Disc_Intel, rev 1.0" at the pirate place by the bay, that will give you 10.4.11 right out of the gate. ManiHeer
So Triple X installs EFI for you or is just that I won't need EFI after installing 10.4.11. Dr. Hurt
No, XxX doesn't install EFI. You'll have to install it manually. And by the way, you processor won't work with the vanilla kernel. Only conroe and allendale cores work. (Core 2). Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/86566-efi-dvd/#findComment-615180 Share on other sites
