SURFDUE
These people are ass holes. And im no expert either myself, but I recently had this error I fixed it by simply starting with the DVD or Install going into Terminal and typing fdisk -i /dev/hda0 - totally new MBR replace -i with -u to just update the MBR keeping partitions. /hda0 being your main hard drive. If this dosn't work which most of the time it dosn't, you probably installed Mac wrong. What I had to do becuase I used kalywag 10.5 leopard image I went back to the install and only Updated the mac OS with the costomize menu instead of using GUID bootmanager i changed to MBR that fixed the system. If that dosnt work only I know how to do is totally wipe all drives clean if you have more then one merge them and format them as Journaled for mac and then install on the clean journaled partition.
