My computer was running beautifully after following this guide step-by-step:

Afterwards, I updated to 10.5.1, and I couldn't change my screen resolution - it just says 1024x768, whereas my desired resolution is 1280x1024. The following topic fixed this problem:

Now I tried to resolve the mouse tearing issue with the following guide:

However, I can't (again) change my screen resolution. I tried repeating the steps from the second topic I mentioned, but it won't help. Is there any way I can restore everything to it's default value? Or maybe reverse the terminal commands in the last mentioned guide?

P.S.: I have the Intel GMA950 graphics card on the 945GCMX chipset.
