Jynx
I bought the Belkin USB 7050 Wireless adapter. OSX86 picks it up as a wireless adapter when you check under About this mac > More info. I downloaded the Ralink drivers for 10.4.x So here is what I did. 10.4.3 Installed drivers > reboot > insert belkin > nothing. Edited plist w/ vender/product ID > reboot > nothing. So I figured maybe its only working for those who have been using 10.4.1 10.4.1 Installed drivers > reboot > insert belkin > nothing. Edited plist w/ vender/product ID > reboot > nothing. I've read post of several people using this with the ralink drivers and it works great then as the newer drivers became available they even had the utilities working and WEP workign..etc But per the above steps mine does nothing, no light even comes on during the initial pluggin. Works fine in windows however and the USB ports work fine as well, I tried 6 of them just incase however. Any ideas?? Jynx
Hmm I am not at hom now but I wonder if mine is the version 3000 which uses the rt71 driver vs the 2500 drivers..guess I'll try when I get home and give everyone an update for those still having problems with this adapter. There's no taking it back for me as it was bought online. Oh well....
