wizardfatty
shutdown, sleep works fine in Lion, use the Install-Packages i asked for some pages before HDMI is still not working, with exception HDMI to DVI. while i installed Lion i splitter my HDD into 2 Parts, 200GB Mac and 50GB Windows. I love to use my Windows-Stuff in Lion, simply open the Partion in OSX. Is there any way to do it the other way around, too? I want to have access to my Mac HDD in Windows, too Cheers and thanks again for all of your great Help! Thanks! I use mac drive to view mac formatted USB drives on my snow leopard install, so that program may work for viewing Mac HDD's when you are in windows. immo
Hi guys, I need help..I've successfully install lion on my m1530 and it boot up successful, when the time i wanted to fix the hardware problem, i think i copied the wrong kexts on the extra and now it freeze on booting up the lion.. May I know is there anyway to boot it back for me to remove the wrongly paste kexts? thx.. Assuming you installed using the USB dongle method, boot off the USB dongle, enter terminal, and delete the kexts that you want to. You can also try seeing if it will boot without the USB dongle in single user mode. In Chameleon, cursor over your Lion partition, key in "-s" and press enter. Arindam Banik
Hi, I'm facing an unusual problem, I've installed 'Chameleon 2 RC v5' on the Mac Lion partition and when I try booting system through the HDD patition with MacLion, I get a KP for <AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement> . However, when I boot using the bootable Mac Lion USB drive then I'm able to boot successfuly into MacLion on HDD. Also, booting into Chameleon on HDD displays a command line boot prompt, booting into USB drive displays a GUI boot screen with two selectable icons, one for USB drive itself and one for the MacLion on HDD. Thanks in advance, arry

It may be: - Looking for it on another partition (do you have a separate Snow Leopard partition?) - Incorrectly named or placed (Should be called /Extra/DSDT.aml) - Permissions issue in your /Extra folder. You can manually point it to a DSDT using DSDT=[path] (e.g. DSDT=/DSDT.aml) If you don't have a DSDT you need one with a patched HPET. You can find one in my guide. Also, it sounds like you have not installed the Chameleon themes which is why you are getting a prompt. Immo
Arindam Banik
Thanks immo. I've MBR partitioning with 2 partitions with the first partition having MacLion and the second one is unformatted for installing Windows 7 later. I'm also using your latest '20110720' DSDT.aml for Lion. Yes, I didn't install the Chameleon theme, which I shall install today along with the DSDT suggestions. Shall let you know whether it worked or not. Thanks again. arry
larrybird
Just a few quick questions: Is Intel graphics supported by 10.7 on the m1330? (Seems like everyone's got Nvidia) Can 10.7 be installed cleanly or must it be as an upgrade from 10.6?

So I copied one to the root from my 'MacOSX Base System' USB drive (same as your 20110720 version). I also re-installed Chameleon RC3 v5 with theme. Now when I boot I can see the GUI and focus on hdd MacLion partition. However, I'm still unable to boot into MacLion (and getting stuck at ':/ root#' when booting using '-s -v cpus=1'). Booting into MacLion using USB drive is still working fine. One observation during verbose boot directly from HDD, I see the kexts getting loaded from [hd(0,1)/System/...] partition, however when I boot from USB drive, I see the kexts getting loaded from [hd(1,1)/System/...] partition. This doesn't seems to be correct. Could you help me with this? Thanks, arry Few more lines prior to HDD boot freeze: If you want to make modifications to files: /sbin/fsck -fy /sbin/mount -uw / If you wish to boot the system: exit :/ root#

Why are you booting with that flag and what are you expecting to achieve by it? Why use the cpus=1 flag? Also, what is in your USB/HDD org.chameleon.Boot.plist? Brett Whinnen
It's been a little while since I lat posted, my XPS has been running well without any issues on 10.7.1, but I finally decided to replace it with something a little more portable, so purchased a MacBook Air 11". Thus the XPS is going to be retired from any activities with me, it will become a HTPC for the family room to replace an ageing Celeron D based machine So I thought I'd take the opportunity to thank those that have helped out, those that continue to work towards the perfect MBP replacement and give encouragement to those that are yet to try this path. It is a great way to learn the ins and outs of both OS X and your equipment. I will be keeping a full copy of both working 10.6.8 and 10.7.1 partitions though So thanks again, I will probably pop by every now and then. Your DSDT work has especially been helpful for these computers, and I also use your patched VoodooPS2. Enjoy your new MB Air. Beautiful computer. I've been wanting to do the jump to a true Apple computer myself but can't do it because this M1330 still works well and I'm too frugal! My wife has a MacBook. Take care. Fa90
Hey, i just removed voodooHDA.kext from my extensions folder to my desktop, started the Apple-Update, restart, everything works fine... after the update you have to delete AppleHDA.kext from the extensions folder and you need to install your VoodooHDA.kext again, i used Kext Wizard. Right after Install I've got a Kernel Panic, restarted and Voila, everything works like before!

luggi
I use this DSDT (attached) no injection. DarwinX
I use this DSDT (attached) no injection. My com.apple.boot: Like myself, you are using the Chameleon to inject your graphics. So, it is possible that the display failure that you experienced upon the 10.7.2 update may have been caused by a conflicting kext within your system. Which kexts are you using in your 10.7.2? Also, check your kernel log going back to the point of your first post 10.7.2 update boot up, prior to graphics kexts roll back. Just an FYI, kext roll backs are undesirable and should be avoided as much as possible.

DarwinX
i have the same problem as luggi but i don't want to rollback any kexts... DarwinX can you post your kext and config please? How about this, PM me your e-mail address, and I will share all of my current OS X files via the Dropbox with the interested parties? You will also continue to have access to my Dropbox OS X Folder as long as you wish. I continuously update said folder with the latest OS X developments as their pertain to our systems. As our systems are similar, the files that we require to run our systems optimally are also similar, so why go in circles and second guess where we could simply share? You will also have the write access to my OS X Dropbox folder, I only ask that you prudently utilize that privilege as others depend on those files as well. i had issues injecting from graphicsenabler from older cham 1076 rc5 .. had to inject 8600m in dsdt for lion. Why not simply use the latest Chameleon v2.1svn r1618?
