Then there were none.
Well, it seems I have the option of a 17" imac or a 20", and was wondering, is there a noticible difference if I went for a 17" is it really small? Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/80954-imac-17-or-20/ Share on other sites

Shrimp
Well the 17" runs at 1440x900 and the 20" runs at 1600x1050. A 15" MacBook Pro runs at 1440x900 which I'm using now, and to be honest this is excellent for a laptop though I couldn't imagine it in a desktop, it may show as a bit small there. I'd say go for the 20". Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/80954-imac-17-or-20/#findComment-574245 Share on other sites

Colonel
Apple doesn't even make a 17" iMac anymore. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/80954-imac-17-or-20/#findComment-576677 Share on other sites
A Nonny Moose
If you can find one that has the same processor and clock speed, a 17 inch model will be slightly faster than the 20 inch model. I'm not sure why, but it's been proven true on Speedmark tests. Synaesthesia
Because th 17" has a lower resolution yet the same graphics card, so some tests show a higher fps. Still rather have the 20 though Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/80954-imac-17-or-20/#findComment-577160 Share on other sites
