MRScript
I'm already tired looking for the answers, so trying to make new topic, to get some... I have Dell 1501. (amd turion x2 64bit, 1.5gb ddr2 ram, radeon x-1150, sata 120gb hdd), and I wanna to install leopard on it. I have tryied tiger too, but i'm stuck in one and same place there are no availables hdd to chose in disk utility. I've found that need to enable AHCI, but this {censored} laptop don't provide such a future in bios. I've tried wmvare method, but no result. I know its good decision to get external hdd, but i don't wanna to buy one... So maybe anyone already installed it on equal system? Thanks for answers. SmilingHand
Tiger works well with the vmware method! Tried it, worked. The question is: what`s the status of the drivers under Leopard for this model???
Josh Fee
Yeah, if you just want Tiger, download JaS' 10.4.8 (or any other version I guess). Mount it using Daemon tools, use a physical HDD in VMware. It should install fine. For Leopard, boot with -v and tell us if there are any errors. For instance, right now I keep getting I/O errors which makes my disk inaccessible :-/
