gazasaurusu
I have the same problem. On that screen it hangs for a while then goes back to the start of registration. There must be a way to skip registration. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79149-registration-window-stalled-8/#findComment-565968 Share on other sites

geez
Had this problem too. Turned out to be something to do with my (unsupported OTB) network card. The instructions ZoomZom provides were an effective workaround for me. Good luck! smorf
i fixed this by plugging off my ethernet plug during first boot. i chose the "this machine does not connect to the internet" and i skipped the registration then. I just wanna try Mac and if I like it I will buy the OS, but for the meanwhile I wanted to try it along side Win XP and see how it goes. My email address is abhavni@yahoo.com. fresher83
thanks for this guid. > -s enter in a single mode > /sbin/fsck -fy this need if you reset your comp on registration steps > /sbin/mount -uw / mountig all devices > passwd the type your root password > touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone finishing registration assistant > reboot had the same problem, but solved it now. @MondayRiot: Maybe to late your username is: root an your password, is that one you type in the console. after that you can add a new user in SystemPreferences-Accounts Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79149-registration-window-stalled-8/#findComment-1028367 Share on other sites
